I LOVE the Friday evenings spent with Julie at Drink & Draw. I can't tell you how much of a treat it is. It's not just the splish-sploshing of art materials, even though that is tremendous, or the wonderful themes and new materials to try, nor, of course, the wine and nibbles, but the excellent ambiance and wonderful company that can be found there. Once tried... forever hooked.
Response from The White Room Art Studio:
Ah thank you, what a lovely reviewDrink & Draw is a rare combination of themed creativity in a like minded group coupled with the freedom to express the artist within whilst sipping a cool wine. The topic gives you focus for the evening and Julie provides direction and support, inspiration boards, project examples and all supplies. The stunning high vaulted studio is warm, welcoming and perfect if you just want to play with sharpie pens and glue or adopt a more professional approach with artist watercolours. Highly recommended but book early as places fill up quickly
Response from The White Room Art Studio:
Thank you for your review Tess- Not surprised it mentioned Sharpie pens!🤣Love the Drink and Draw evenings. Both men and women on the course and lots of fun trying out new things. Personally, I don’t do a lot of drawing. More cut and stick for me, and sloshing around with paint. Cheese, wine, grapes and Maltesers. Who could ask for more?
Response from The White Room Art Studio:
Love your (Malteser fuelled) collages Nell !What can I say, it's an absolutely fabulous evening that I look forward to every month. Julie is not only a fantastic teacher she is the perfect host too. You paint, you draw, you eat you drink, you chat and laugh. Time really does fly when your having fun. Don't worry if you can't draw, there is so much more to do, and Julie is always at hand.
Response from The White Room Art Studio:
Thank you Carrie-Anne for your lovely feedback JulieOnce a month this evening is my absolute saviour. I look forward to it all month and it never disappoints. Sometimes I try a new skill, sometimes I'm content to sit and copy various images. Julie looks after you, supplies all the materials and tops up your glass.....perfect!!!
