During this workshop students will learn how to correctly hoop fabric, choose appropriate fabrics and threads, and learn a variety of basic stitches. We then move on to altering the stitches learnt, to create new effects, widen knowledge of various stitches and explore textured and unusual threads. By the end of the day students will have a sampler in a hoop that they can display, as well as the skills to continue with embroidery at home.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
All materials are provided, including the embroidery hoop to take home with you. If you have some small embroidery scissors and a few needles please bring these with you - I do have some you can use.
Refreshments are provided, however you will need to provide your own lunch. A fridge is available to store food in; alternatively there are many lovely places nearby to purchase lunch from.
