About the Course
Spend the day with inspiring and creative artist Lucy Perry, working in her studio, summer house and garden.
10th July - Experimental Drawing - investigate the colours, forms and patterns in the garden in lively and intuitive ways to free up your drawing style. You will take away a range of drawings of various scales, created in media ranging from pencil and charcoal to wax resist with watercolour dyes and ink.
17th July - Drawing and Printmaking - initial investigative drawings of the garden will be used to develop mono prints and a lino 'soft cut' block. You will take away a short series of A6 prints on premium A4 paper and a lino block you can reuse at home.
You will learn lots of technical aspects of the materials used. Lucy is a qualified and experienced art teacher, and a practising painter/printmaker.
