Angels reviewed: Hedgehog needle felting workshop

"A wonderful felting course in a wonderful location with wonderful people. I throughly enjoyed every minute of this very enlightening course. This was my very 1st try at felting, the tuition was excellent as were the refreshments and baked pastries. I came home with a rather long nosed, very cute, hedgehog who I wouldn't change one bit. I also purchased a felting rabbit kit which lays in a beautifully presented box waiting for its creation. Beware however, I believe like me, once you've been on this course you'll get the felting bug. Very much looking forward to visiting, learning and felting on my next chosen course here. You truly won't be disappointed - enjoy. "

Heather Everley reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I recently attended Martin's glass fusion course for the 4th time because from my first time to this one, I have enjoyed, been challenged and was totally engrossed during it. I have no art experience but Martin shows you examples of things to copy or be inspired by. He positively encourages you to try your own ideas with and uses his expertise to tweak things. The only thing i ever need is more time, 5 hours fly by. Thank you"

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you ?"

Claire & Liz reviewed: Cyanotype/Sun Printing Workshop

"Val was a warm and friendly host, we were so lucky to be able to use her expert knowledge to produce some unique artwork. She had a good balance between telling us how to make the cyanotypes and advising us, without influencing our designs. The cake and cookies were an added bonus, she's an excellent baker."

little blue hodgepig responded:

"Thank you both for joining me. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the course. Good luck with your onward cyanotype journey. "

"Fast delivery, even to me in the Scottish Highlands. Great kit with everything you will need. The only niggle is the instructions are not the best for reading the measurements, photo's are very dark. Over all great kit."

"Thank you for your review and feedback Mark. Have you already completed the carving? If not, please let me know and I will send you a PDF of the leaflet so you can see the measurements better. We will look to update these when next printing."

Helen Bagnall reviewed: Crafts in the Valley - Beginners glass fusing workshops in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire

"Certainly one of the best craft courses I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on lots. The teaching was perfectly pitched – you could work at your own pace but you never run out of things to do because there was so much available. It was a packed day with lots of colours and shapes and ideas. We came away having made several pieces of fused glass and absolutely delighted with what had achieved. "

Chris Saunders reviewed: Birds on a wire - creating small sculptures in Derbyshire

"My overriding impression of the day was the expert and insightful teaching I received, so patient when clearly I was making heavy weather of things. So much so that in order for me to take home all 3 items Liz pre -prepared some stages i.e.”flat- pack” style. Thank you very much indeed "

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Chris, Thank you for taking the time to let me know about your day. It was a lovely day and a pleasure working with you, helping you develop your skills and understanding. Time can be against us in a workshop situation and I didn’t want you to leave without exploring and making each of the pieces. I’m picturing you on a winter’s evening, with tools to hand, making more wire birds and hanging wreaths, knowing that you’ve mastered all those skills. Best wishes Liz Wellby "

Rachel Britton reviewed: Drum Lampshade making at ShedLight

"I had a great morning online making a drum lampshade with Vanessa. I had never made one before but Vanessa made it a really enjoyable experience. I also really enjoyed being in my own home yet able to do something new and very creative (with expert help and advice). Not having to travel made it ideal for me. There was a great selection of fabric to choose from for my lampshade and all the equipment arrived packaged well and complete. Vanessa is so experienced and calm and the whole session was relaxed and fun. She passed on tips and tricks and what products to use for future lampshade making projects. The finished product is excellent and I completed it during one morning session."

ShedLight responded:

"So happy you enjoyed your course Rachel and it was a delight to teach you! Thank you for the lovely review ?"

D.Banistet reviewed: Border Collie needle felting kit

"There was lots of material in the kit. Even dogs eyes in the right size. Not easy to gind. Unfortunately the copies were not very clear and I had problems using them and one whole page was missing. It was one l needed most. This was noty first felting Project so I could manage but not sure about beginners. I would have been very happy if this all had been of s better quality. 3 stars this time. "

Bruceartandcrafts responded:

"Thanks for your review I can only apologise for the quality of the copies "
