Michael Oxley reviewed: Watercolour Art & Spa 2 day full board learn to paint @ The Flackley Ash Hotel Rye Sussex

"A very enjoyable two day course. Learnt many new water colour painting techniques. Produced several nice paintings, two I particularly like very much. Painted in a whole range of styles which was a great experience. I loved how Vicki was able to correct / recover mistakes I made so that progress could be maintained. This was a very useful lesson to learn and apply. A lovely setting and a very nice group of people to spend two days together learning to paint in water colours."

Arty Party Breaks and lessons responded:

"It was a pleasure teaching you and I’m so glad you learnt a lot with the water colours. Thank you for your kind words. Kindest regards Vicki"

Dan Vesma reviewed: Welding For Beginners

"This was such a fun and informative day. Will and Huw are great hosts and were super patient with me. I don’t think I’ll be heading into a career of off-shore underwater pipe welding any time soon, but I did come away being able to join metal with fire, which is pretty great."

Josephine reviewed: Spoon carving at Walderchain Wood, Canterbury

"Had a brilliant time on the spoon carving course and would love to attend another one of their workshops again soon. Mark is a really engaging instructor, encouraging and has a lot of knowledge. I liked the way he taught, demonstrating and explaining each step and then letting us have a go. Felt guided but also able to make your own decisions about the tools and wood we used, spoon design, etc. I think it would be enjoyable for people that are completely new to green woodworking and also people who already have some experience. The workshop and location in the woods is a beautiful and peaceful place and it was a really idyllic setting for the activity which made the day feel so therapeutic and restorative. Also Cristina's food was delicious, homemade and homegrown and generous portions. Both Mark and Cristina are such interesting, welcoming people and all in all just had the loveliest day. Definitely inspired to keep on spoon carving. Also appreciate Mark taking the time to send some recommendations and further reading after the course, so it doesn't feel like just a one off experience but the start of learning a new skill, if you are wanting it to be. Thanks so much, really enjoyed it and will be recommending to everyone!"

Walderchain Wood responded:

"Josephine, Thank you for such kind words. Glad you enjoyed it so much. Do keep carving, you won't regret it. Hope to see you here again All the best Mark and Cristina"

Amanda reviewed: Beginners DIY & Home Maintenance Workshop in Preston, Lancashire (1 Day)

"Relaxed atmosphere. No question too stupid. So practical. As a result I went home and had confidence to take mouldy caulk off windows & re caulked beautifully. I redid caulking around shower, redecorated room & knew to use decorators caulk AND drilled new curtain rails in and a shelf. So proud"

The Boho Shed responded:

"Wow Amanda! You've done loads!!! I'm so proud of you too. So pleased you enjoyed the day, thank you for your very kind review. x"

Eryl reviewed: Learn how to make a stained glass panel

"100% 5 stars! If you are at all interested in beautiful glass panels, and want to know more... don't wait any longer. Just take a chance and book this course! You won't regret it. The teacher, Brian, is kind, generous, welcoming and approachable... and clearly knows the subject inside out. I arrived, excited but a little apprehensive, because I have no artistic abilities whatsoever, and without a clue about the processes involved! I left with a panel that I will treasure and be very proud to display in my home. I've already shown the photos to most friends. All in all, a thoroughly rewarding experience. "

Jan reviewed: Green Wood Creative Seating - 6 Day Course in South Devon

"Had the most amazing time on this course. I was a complete novice with virtually no woodworking experience whatsoever! My family and friends could not believe what I have achieved in the 6 days. Peter's experience is second to none and there seemed nothing he wouldn't let the group try. Toby and Badger were an amazing help, incredibly knowledgeable and always patient and understanding with plenty of ideas and inspiration. I can honestly not recommend this workshop enough. I have a beautiful bench in my kitchen and I am very proud of it. I feel I have created a family heirloom! Thank you. "

"Bought this course as a birthday gift for my niece. We (my mam came too) wanted to make a gift she could keep for her 18th birthday. It was a great morning, and the time flew by.
