Andrea reviewed: Monthly Watercolour Classes

"We really enjoyed our watercolour course yesterday. Cathy was great and gave some simple instructions to follow but then left everyone to do what they wanted or ask for further help if needed. The room was very relaxing and the materials provided were really good. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we would both love to do it again."

Stanwick Lakes Art and Craft Courses responded:

"Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the course and shall let Cathy know. We hope to see you here at Stanwick Lakes again soon. Best wishes, The Stanwick Lakes team."

Lulu reviewed: Glassblowing Full Day Masterclass

"Doing this class was genuinely one of the best decisions I've ever made! The studio was all flat and easily accessible when using a wheelchair, and Katy and Ryan were so accommodating and supportive. I worked in a group of amazing people also joining the class for the day and they were all so kind, friendly and fun to be around. The atmosphere in the studio was so welcoming and fun so every moment just felt like a positive learning experience. I truly can't rate this course high enough and can't wait to do more glassblowing in the future! Thank you! ❤️ "

Ally Oliver reviewed: SAORI Weaving Discovery Session

"I thoroughly enjoyed the SAORI Weaving Discovery Session. Nicola introduced us to a good variety of weaving threads and looms, then guided us beautifully through this freestyle approach to weaving. I loved the ease and freedom of weaving in this more intuitive way, and the fact that so-called 'mistakes' can become creations. It was fascinating to see the emergence of such different weaves appearing on the looms of each individual as well as the potentials of what objects of art they could become ... all as unique expressions of creativity!"

Norman Lewis reviewed: Furniture Painting Workshop (levels 1&2 techniques covered) in Warrington, Cheshire

"Recently I attended Joanne’s furniture painting workshop at the lovely location of Grappenhall Heys. Joanne's workshop is fun, hands on and really informative. As a complete beginner to upcycling furniture, I had a lot of questions which Joanne answered fully and completely. Joanne is the friendliest of teachers and has a vast knowledge about the subject. She individually encouraged and supported each member of the class, when it came to actually working on our chosen pieces of furniture. The day was really enjoyable and very productive, as Joanne ensured each class member was able to transform their furniture using the painting techniques learnt in the workshop. I would recommend Joanne’s workshop to any novice upcycling enthusiast, you'll have a great day."

The Boho Shed responded:

"Thanks so much for your fantastic review of the workshop Norm. I’m really pleased you enjoyed the day, and I agree what a gorgeous venue The Walled Garden is. You made such a lovely job of your unit. 🙏"

Ted Fisher reviewed: Guitar Strumstick Dulcimer 3 strings instrument

"I'm another Ted. I spent the day with this Ted making a strumstick dulcimer. It was a 70th birthday present from my family. What a great day! We talked about all sorts of things, but mainly music. Ted is a very interesting man to talk to and listen to. He's a bit of a polymath, from music to quantum theory and relativity. I love my dulcimer and have played it every day since I made it a week ago. I was useless at woodwork at school many, many years ago, but Ted brought out the best in me. It was the first time I had ever used a bandsaw! (And I've still got all my fingers). I'll ask for another course for my 71st."

Teds Woodworking/ instrument making Courses responded:

"Thanks for the kind words Ted you are a real gent and the strumming has just begun, hope you get many happy hours with it and hope to see you again on your 80th 😁😁😎👍👍 kind regards Ted 😎"
