Andrea Duncan-Anderson reviewed: Introduction to traditional stained glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I attended the stained glass workshop with Martin yesterday, and have to say it was superb. Martin is a very patient tutor, especially with those of us doing this for the first time. Instructions and guidance were kept simple and easy to follow. The group is small so Martin is able to provide one on one guidance on your item with tips on how to fix (if needed). I thought this was an excellent introduction to stained glass making, and I thoroughly enjoyed my day, even a little proud of what I was able to produce. "

Jane Nicholson reviewed: The First Cut - lino cutting for beginners & rusty printmakers in Derbyshire

"The day was perfect. The studio was a beautiful place to learn and Liz gave us a relaxed but comprehensive introduction to lino cutting. We practiced cutting using different lino and tools then planned our main piece. After carefully cutting we started printing and our group produced some beautiful prints. I can’t wait to frame my design and hang it in my dining room. I’m already looking for my next course at the slipper studio! Thank you for a lovely day "

"Hi Jane, Lovely to hear from you and thank you for your kind words - I have a big smile on my face. It was great to meet and work with you. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed your day at The Slipper Studio and I feel that you have learnt a lot. This is such a great process, with some many possibilities to develop and explore. I think you’ll find it hard to choose just one of your beautiful prints to hang in your dining room - how about a colourful triptych? You’ll be most welcome for further workshops at the studio. Best wishes Liz Wellby"
