A fun course, stretching the beauty from felt. I wondered how the bare felt would become a slipper at the onset and before my very eyes to my amazement things gradually took shape.
A great day at a beautiful location, Christine was an amazing hostess and teacher all round.
I look forward to my next course :-)

Response from Christine Waygood. Contemporary Textiles.:

Thank you Funmi! I hope you had a good journey home and I'll see you again before too long.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself making a beautiful pair of felt slippers with Christine Waygood. She is very knowledgeable on all things felt and cooked us a delicious lunch as well. I will definitely be doing another course with her and would recommend her courses to everyone interested in fibre arts.

I had a fantastic day yesterday making some gorgeous felt slippers with Christine Waygood in her lovely studio in the Forest of Dean. I was an absolute beginner at felting, and was given clear instructions and supported through the whole process. Much to my amazement, I had created a lovely pair of slippers by the end of the day. I would recommend this workshop to anyone. Lovely surroundings and excellent friendly teacher.

Great fun day. We learnt the whole felt making process then Chris really inspired us to choose the colours then guided us through the process to create our own beautiful slippers.

My daughter and I had never done any felting before so didn't know what to expect. Christine was welcoming and everything was very relaxed and, as there were only three of us that day, it felt very personal. She demonstrated each step clearly and encouraged us to really play with colours and patterns rather than stick to a formula - it was great fun and lovely to be able to come away with something you could actually wear!! Delighted with what we achieved. A very enjoyable and creative day spent in a lovely part of the countryside.

Felting courses with Christine Waygood are such great fun. Not only is Chris a fount of knowledge when it comes to every aspect of felt-making but there are simply no limits to her creativity. I always come away feeling really inspired, buzzing with new ideas and looking forward to my next visit.

I have now attended 3 of Christine's feltmaking courses and have enjoyed them very much. She is a great teacher who loves what she is doing. The workshop is in a very beautiful part of the countryside and it is lovely to escape for a day of creativity. There is a wide choice of materials to use and I have been thrilled with the the things that I have made. I am looking forward to the next course.
