I had a great time making my unique wet felted hat with Christine! The day was enjoyable throughout, very relaxed. Lunch included, a very sociable time.
Amazing to see the felting process turn gradually little shreds of wool into a wearable garment.
Many thanks to Christine and her husband.

Response from Christine Waygood. Contemporary Textiles.:

Thank you Caroline.
I had a great time too. I hope you'll enjoy wearing your hat, and look forward to seeing you again when you need a pair of slippers . Do come over to see us when the studio is open in July.

Had a fantastic time with Christine as a surprise present from my sister. I'm not a crafter but had great fun with the felt-making process from start to finish and made a rather good hat even if I say so myself haha. Christine was great fun and the whole day was relaxed and enjoyable - highly recommended!

We spent a thoroughly lovely day with Christine, playing with colour and texture, chatting, laughing and creating, with frequent coffee and tea and an excellent homemade lunch.

From my original enquiry - this was a special surprise birthday present for my sister - Christine was enthusiastic, helpful and accommodating. We are both crafting novices. Christine was happy to be flexible and we made our final decision on the day to make felt hats (but were tempted too by the slippers and bags on show). Although we both chose the same style as inspiration, our results were totally different and utterly personal.

We have made very special memories with Christine - and very special, individual hats!

It was my first felting experience and it was great. Christine is an amazing, inspiring, knowledgeable teacher. As first-time felter I benefited massively from Christine's experience. We not only made our hats, beyond that is was a real eye-opener what you can do with felt in terms of patterns, material-mix, shapes, and uses.
It is a very intimate learning environment giving each of us time to try and get help. There is no rush or pressure, just a wonderful day of hand-crafting in a beautiful setting with people sharing the same interest. I enjoyed it a lot and will come back for another of the courses. Elke, Treherbert

Response from Christine Waygood. Contemporary Textiles.:

I attended a felt hat making course and enjoyed every part of it. The start with great coffee. Christine warmly explains every step and diplomatically explains should you make a mistake! Not that I did!! Flapjacks for mid morning and a fabulous homemade, with homegrown ingredients, lunch just topped off the experience with lovely people. All that and a hat!
