Patrick Cadell reviewed: Green Wood Furniture Making and Steam Bending - 3 Day Course in South Devon

"A very enjoyable and inspiring course. I already had some experience of green woodwork but acquired much more experience and also some expertise with first class coaching and support from Peter and Toby. I could not be happier with the stool I produced on the course. Peter and Toby went above and beyond in helping me correctly sharpen an antique drawknife that I had brought and demonstrating to me then talking me through how to steer a split back to the centre when splitting green wood. I would certainly recommend and will very likely come back myself for another course."

Kathryn Green Textiles responded:

"Thank you Al. It was a pleasure to work with you and I am so pleased you enjoyed it. Hope you now feel confident enough to carry on creating!"

Dzintra reviewed: Green woodworking - stool making 1 day

"It is lovely to learn new skills and return home with a tangible product, albeit with a bit of finishing off homework. I was a complete beginner in working with wood, but Lewis was able to inspire confidence in the way that he taught. The whole atmosphere was relaxed and the day flew by whilst I was trying to put my newly-learned skills into practice. A super day! "

Liz Stevenson reviewed: Discover shibori - create a shibori hanging workshop 1

"I had a very relaxed & informative session at this Shibori workshop last Saturday, held at the peaceful location of the Class Studio in the Dorset countryside. Annabel, clearly loves her craft ,was very informative & explained the techniques involved very clearly. It was very enjoyable and I was able to make several small pieces which were combined to make a wall hanging . I left with materials to finish the project at home. The workshop inspired me to continue experimenting with the technique in the future. I would thoroughly recommend the course to anyone wishing to try out a a new craft. "

Taran Dryden-Furneaux reviewed: 2 Day Damascus knife Making Course

"Thank you Dan and Elliot. The 2 day Damascus steel knife making workshop was fantastic. I began the knife making workshop with no previous experience in blacksmithing and was deftly guided through the process by Elliot, who was happy to answer all my questions about process and method, also a few about smelting and the origins of Damascus steel. It's hard work, but worth it. Chefs kiss good. "

Neil Barraclough reviewed: Woodwork 4 days foundation course

"This four-day course was brilliant from start to finish. Ted is patient and clear in his teaching. He effortlessly adapts the course depending on your skill level and experience. You go home tired at the end of each day, but the days themselves fly by. You're having fun, learning lots, and putting the world to rights while you're at it. I went with zero woodworking experience apart from several hours spent on YouTube, but came home with working knowledge and experience of using various tools, producing various joints, and making two brilliant pieces (an intricate jewellery box my wife claimed immediately and a footstool my daughter has already put to use in the kitchen). Highly, highly recommended. If you're even remotely considering doing a course with Ted, stop thinking and start booking. You won't regret it."

Teds Woodworking/ instrument making Courses responded:

"Thank you for the very kind words Neil . As I said your woodworking attitude was excellent from the get go and you progressed quickly by day 4. So glad your wife and daughter are taken by your projects too. I'm certain that in a short time you will be building something extra special for the kitchen or living room soon, just take your time at each stage of the project and read up on the finishing aspects which can easily make or break the work. If you need another course etc you know where I am my friend. Ted "

Barbara reviewed: Mosaic Taster Session (half day) in the Peak District

"It was a great introduction to making Mosaics with plenty of materials to pick from and options for ‘makes’. Peter provided just the right level of instruction and help. The refreshments were options plentiful and Alison provided a wonderful cake. My daughter and I had a lovely time and it was great to take home finished mosaics (well just the challenge of the final grouting to do). We both really enjoyed it."

Zantium Studios Ltd responded:

"Delighted to hear you both enjoyed your course with us here at Zantium and are pleased with your results...a lovely creative activity to share with your daughter. Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. We hope to welcome you again sometime."

Rebecca reviewed: Silver ring making, half day course

"I had such an amazing time on this course I have been recommending it to everyone! Mark and Terri were both lovely and incredibly knowledgable, you feel like you’re getting the most out of your time and it was such a great experience to do it all in their workshop rather than a classroom experience! I was lucky to have a one to one class which was amazing and I’m already looking forward to booking another session, if you’re considering ring/jewellery making there’s no better place to go! "

Dandelion Silver responded:

"Hello Rebecca, thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so happy you enjoyed your ring making class. It makes ir worthwhile when students leave such positive feedback. Many thanks Mark"
