"What a great week! This was exactly what I wanted being talked through the basics, being allowed time to practice with the right amount of supervision and advice. The additional information about materials, tools and setting up a workshop was also extremely helpful. I now have the confidence to go away and practice and hopefully return for another course!"

Cos Palmer reviewed: Paint It! & Upholster It! Course

"Took a stool that was covered in paint and had sat in a cupboard only coming out when I was decorating so I decided to return it to its former glory having spotted this course on line! Oh my, what a great day - first it was removing the foam top and then sanding the wooden part to ready it for painting. Lots of help with choosing the colour. Whilst paint dried I was shown how to remove the learner colour and the foam. The instructions and support were excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the stool is now standing in my new kitchen. Thank you Simon and Sarah for an excellent day. A great birthday present from my mum! "

Lesley reviewed: Weaving: the journey begins

"What a lovely introduction to the joy of weaving! The neat looms were set up ready to go so no time was wasted, after a brief introduction I was weaving from the get-go. Ashleigh took us through a range of weaving patterns meaning the day was packed with the opportunity to try different techniques. I left with a wonderful sampler as a reminder of the day that I’ve turned into a centrepiece for the table. What a great way to spend a day!"

Peter Browne reviewed: Glass blowing day experience

"Great, hands-on course. I loved the experience, which was both fascinating and informative. My only suggestions for improvement are to make the Westcott Farm sign larger as there is no Wi-Fi signal at all and very poor mobile connection so I struggled to find the site. Tea/coffee would also be well received."

Bransfield Glassmakers responded:

"So pleased you enjoyed it, Peter, and thanks for your suggestions. Some people do find it helpful to have the photos of the entrance that I offer to send. Many people still feel anxious about mugs that have been used by other people - and our main concern is to ensure that people keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water."

Jane Barnard reviewed: Weave A Shawl Weekend - With yarn spun for you

"Lea is an excellent tutor, with a great breadth of knowledge. The comfortable venue is well equipped with the tools that you will need. Lea explains clearly, giving reasons, and supports your weaving practice. As an older learner I was pleased to find that Lea was happy to repeat any areas where I was having difficulty remembering what to do, and Lea gave me a review of the whole process as a final section. Lea has many techniques available to her that I personally did not have time to learn such as different fringe techniques to the shawl. Lea showed me how to incorporate several types of fancy yearns such as art yarn and eyelash. An enthusiastic teacher, I am happy to endorse this course. "

Lea Wild Creative responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Jane. I'm glad you enjoyed your course. It was a pleasure to have you both here, and your woven shawl is very beautiful! "
