Carol reviewed: Full day fused glass course with breakfast, lunch and all materials included

"I have just had an amazing time on a fused glass taster day and can't recommend it enough. Right from the start of the day we were given a warm welcome by Kim and Sharon and treated to a lovely breakfast. They gave us a comprehensive guide to how to work with the glass and were on hand throughout the day giving advice and tips to get the best out of the projects that we were working on. Lunch was also a really welcome treat, as was the tasty victoria sponge cake made with real raspberries at the end of the day. Well worth the money and I so look forward to seeing my creations once they have been fired. Thank you so much."

Kim Watkinson reviewed: Glass Fusing and Slumping for Beginners and Improvers

"Fantastic day with 2 amazing, talented and patient teachers. As a complete beginner I can't believe how much you can learn and achieve in just a few hours. The range of materials and tools is excellent and I have to say that lunch (particularly the brownies) was to die for! Thank you both"

Kayleigh McGeachan reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"Kerry provides an excellent morning learning how to make candles. She is lovely, friendly and answered everyone's questions. I left with a beautiful candle and the confidence to make my own at home. We also had lovely home made scones and a cuppa what more could you want from a Saturday morning! I would highly recommend, I went by myself but it would be great to go with friends as well."

Eona Beveridge reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"A fantastic workshop full of information and fun! Kerry explained clearly the different types of waxes, oils and of course gave us the chance to make our own "can to candle" product. I took my teenage daughter and we both had a lot of fun, hopefully a new hobby we can both share! Kerry was a first class teacher (and her scones were yummy too!)"

"Clay portrait sculpting with Karin was a fantastic weekend. With zero confidence but lots of enthusiasm I created a presentable head in Clay thanks to Karin, James and the lovely model. The studio is wonderful and very relaxing, I met some fabulous people and now would like to develop further as a hobby. Highly recommend if you want to explore your creative side. Sally Simmers reviewed: Bespoke candle making workshop - Edinburgh

"What a fabulous way to spend a morning; surrounded by candles, fragrances and good company. Kerry generously shares her knowledge, experiences and expertise as a candlemaker in the relaxing atmosphere of her beautiful kitchen. A warm welcome awaits anyone who is interested in learning the process of candle-making and by making one yourself to take away, you get to make the experience last that little while (actually quite a long while as you will be using soy wax to make your candles!) longer. I can highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to start a new hobby or who is just looking for a little bit of quality "me" time. Thank you Kerry for a great morning and I look forward to seeing your business go from strength to strength. x"

"I have just returned home after the course I attended this morning with Sarah. One word - Superb! She made the morning fly by and I cannot believe how many candles we actually made. She was clear in her explanations of all the processes and within 15 -30mins we had made our first candle. I am now hooked with a capital H!! Thank you again Sarah and all the lovely ladies I met today. A fantastic way to spend the morning"

Steve Singleton reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"I really enjoyed the basic course that Emma took us through. The course was split, with theory in the morning and practical in the afternoon. A course designed not to be complicated but enough to allow you to make more soap the correct way in the comfort of your home. I'm sure after practice I'll be considering a more advanced course. An enjoyable course and recommended. Steve Singleton"

Mal reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"Had a great day with my sister at one of Jamal's workshops. Jamal was very welcoming and has such an obvious passion for stained glass, he is quite inspirational. Jamal gave us an insight into all aspects of his craft during our production of a small panel, he is very patient and there ready to help (and I needed his input!) but keen to encourage you try to do it yourself. As one of the older generation I would certainly recommend the experience to anyone old or young. Thank you Jamal."

Brian Price reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"A very interesting day, although I had done a bit of wood turning many years ago, I learned things that day I had not heard mentioned before. I was very impressed with Marks method of instruction and patience . He brought my old set of tools back to life as good as new. Very impressed with the follow up . Many thanks, Brian"

zarla harriman reviewed: Woodcarving with sculptor Jason -handtools -gouging and whittling

"I had absolutely no prior experience with the tools involved in this kind of carving nor of creating anything so large. I learnt lots and came away with a carving I absolutely treasure. Jason was always patient, with just the right mix of 'let me show you how' and 'let me help' to get me carving confidently. I would definitely come back time and again if I could. Just being in the studio amongst Jason's own works was enough to inspire !"

Deanne Bell reviewed: Pottery making party in lovely seaside studio

"My partner and I treated ourselves to a day learning about and making pottery with Jenny. We were keen to give it a go and find out whether this was a hobby we wanted to take on. Jenny was very welcoming and provided refreshments when we first arrived. She was very patient with us and keen that we try whatever we fancied and very flexible which meant we had a go at a few things. We would both recommend this day and felt it was very good value for money. Jenny obviously has a lot to do in preparation and after we'd finished for the day. We haven't yet picked up our pots (Jenny gave us the option of posting them to us) but are excited to see the outcome of our creative endeavors! We were both complete novices, although I am sure that more experienced potters would also benefit from Jenny's knowledge and expertise. In all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the day to others."

Rebecca reviewed: A stool making day

"I really can not believe I made a useable 3 legged stool out of a tree trunk in one day, especially being such a townie! But I did! Eoin, Gail and Dave were brilliant teachers - just the right amount of hands on and off. There was amazing soup, good cheer, and I thought fantastic value for money. Thank you all so much, it was a wonderful experience."

Ursula reviewed: A stool making day

""I did 2 courses with Eoin and Gail: "Rustic stool making" and "Shaving Horse". I never expected that I can make something out a piece of wood in just one weekend. Eoin and Gail are a great team and expertise was paired with lots of laughter and fun. I highly recommend these courses. Especially when you usually work in an office - a day or 2 working outside and using tools is the best therapy." Best Ursula"

David reviewed: A stool making day

"I must admit I was not filled with enthusiasm when my wife gave me a Yule Stool making course for my birthday but how wrong can you be….it was great! The feel and smell of the wood, working with original tools and using the old methods was a revelation to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I managed to make a passable stool which now takes pride of place in our lounge.. Everybody was very friendly and we all got along well with lots of humour on display!! The success of the day was undoubtedly down to Eoin and Gail who’s patience and enthusiasm were excellent, they watched and helped and encouraged everybody. A good hearty lunch and lots of tea / coffee and biscuits helped things along and I know that everybody had a really enjoyable time. Thank you all for a memorable day….I will be back! Regards David"

Jenni Rajoo reviewed: Learn to Turn in the Dartmoor National Park

"Chris is a patient and knowledgable teacher who takes time to explain how to turn based on a given student's learning style. On the bits I found challenging he took more time to show me methods to help make it easier. Chris is flexible and understanding and I have really enjoyed both courses I have done with him."
