Tina fox reviewed: Creative Vibe - Glassblowing Sessions

"I was blown away (no pun intended) by Rickys patience, expertise and encouragement. It was a fantastic day with one other lady, Kate, who was as interested and fascinated at the prospect of creating something with what looked like a molten alien blob. With Rickys help we created sculptural and recognisable usable pieces and the time just flew by. I would thoroughly recommend his courses and hope to be returning for a follow up day soon."

Alun Fowler reviewed: Wood turning tuition, New Forest, Hampshire (1 day) (2 people)

"Received a 1-day beginners course for myself and a friends as a birthday present for my wife having had no previous experience of wood turning. However, we have been on craft courses (pottery and glass blowing) previously. We had a magnificent day - Graham is a superb and knowledgeable teacher; he was able to judge our ability, set achievable but challenging targets and had a patient approach to keeping us on track. A simple but delicious home cooked lunch was provided and both Graham and his wife were terrific company during our meal. Their attitude was relaxed and informal; they made us feel very welcome and gave us a genuine break from the rigours of a normal weekend. We left proudly clutching the candlesticks and bowls we had made during the day which everyone is highly impressed with! However, Graham also left us with a better understanding of the craft, a deeper knowledge of how to work with wood and some samples of wood to fuel our first forays into whittling. I have no hesitation in recommending Graham to anyone how wishes to learn more about this absorbing and rewarding activity."

Jane Thornton reviewed: 6 Week Beginners Evening Stained Glass Course

"Following my weekend course, Geoff and I decided to do a six week evening course with Gill who was very accommodating in agreeing the best evening for us. Over the weeks Gill shared her skills and knowledge and encouraged us both to produce lovely pieces of leaded stained glass. We wanted to buy some kit to carry on our new hobby at home and Gill helped us with what to get and what to avoid! Chatty and easy going meant the weeks flew past and we have now got the stained glass bug, I'm sure we will be back to further our skills with Gill. Thanks for your patience and best wishes, Jane & Geoff"

Jane Thornton reviewed: Beginner's Traditional Stained Glass 2 Day Course

"A great weekend and Gill made sure I came home with a great stained glass piece to show off! Gill's relaxed and friendly approach made sure I had a lot of fun and laughs whilst learning a new skill. She has an eye for detail and that rubs off, so no corner cutting! I made a beautiful copper foil mirror and I am thrilled with it, also a fabulous lunch!!"

Sorby Sheila reviewed: Afternoon Fused Glass Taster Course with a Cornish Cream Tea

"Amanda has a lovely bright well organised studio . There is a vast range of different glass products one can use . A bit like being in a sweet shop ! In the half day I had , I made an Autumn based glass tile , using various coloured glass Frits and glass spaghetti . Also I made an book mark size hanging glass scene based on the Cornish countryside . This required glass cutting and a bit of grinding . We had an enormous cream tea , hot scones etc ! It being the last day of my holiday , Amanda posted my work to me , beautifully wrapped and came in one piece ! Recommended!"

Kevin Germany reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"What a 'smashing' way to spend a couple of days learning new skills. Alex is patient, creative and very good at tailoring your course to allow you to achieve the best product you can within your course time frame. If you are quicker than planned, them he encourages you to make other smaller items so you leave with a great experience. Whether it is a gift for others or a treat for yourself the course is great value."

Terry Pomeroy reviewed: Introduction to leatherwork with Armitage Leather

"I spent the day with Nigel, as a complete beginner, I wanted to know pretty much everything! We covered all the items on my list and other topics I hadn't thought about. I even left with my first project 90% complete which I finished at home. Really fulfilling! I feel quite confident that I know the best way to start other projects, with a good degree of knowledge of how to approach them. I am so glad that I booked this day, it has prevented me from making expensive mistakes and saved me time in the long run. While Nigel is super experienced the level of instruction was pitched exactly at the right level for me. Thanks again Nigel!"
