"This course is outstanding and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'm delighted with my two finished pieces from being a complete novice at the start of my 2-day workshop. Both traditional lead and copper foiling techniques covered admirably in the 2 days. Gill was so skilled and enthusiastic and it was infectious. The pace was relaxed yet productive and tuition excellent throughout. A fab lunch and cakes too, all top notch. Don't delay, book today. "I'm so chuffed with what I was able to achieve over a weekend, with plenty of Gill's help (and her aircon unit keeping us cool!). As a complete novice to working with glass, the chance to bring my own design to life and come home with a completed project was brilliant. I can't wait to install my new panel in my house and enjoy it now. The rural setting of Gill's studio is beautiful and the farmshop cafe below provided us with delicious lunches and cakes for the weekend. The weekend felt like a real treat - thank you Gill!"

"Had a wonderful weekend being inspired by Gill. Stained glass was a totally new thing to me and Gill was an excellent tutor. I was able to make a couple of pieces in different techniques. It was a bonus being able to work on my own design, rather than having to complete set pieces. This is a very flexible approach to teaching and appreciated. Unfortunately I was feeling the after effects of Covid, but Gill was adaptable and accommodating to ensure I could complete my pieces. Thoroughly recommend this course."

"This is a must do course if you have any interest in stained glass and moderate, little or no expertise. As complete novices I and my friend had a great couple of days and learned how to select glass for a design, align it, cut it, grind, manipulate leading solder and finish off to have lovely objects to take home. Relaxed pace, lovey location, very encouraging and patient tutoring, with ample tea, a great lunch and conversation all thrown in. Thank you Gill."

"I was given this weekend stained glass course as a Christmas present, and I couldn't have asked for anything more wonderful! I was the only person booked onto this course, so benefitted from 1-1 tuition from the lovely Gill. I was given the option of creating one large A3 piece from leaded stained glass, or try a smaller leaded A4 stained glass piece on the first day and a copper-foil stained glass piece on the second. I chose the two separate pieces and am so glad I did- both techniques are really interesting, and Gill is a brilliant teacher! She made it so easy, from cutting the glass and stretching the lead to using the soldering iron. She explained everything clearly and made it an absolutely pleasure. It was so lovely to have someone so interesting and knowledgeable to chat to throughout the weekend, and the beautiful location also helped! As an added bonus, the lovely Santa and Michael from the farm shop on site made us the most delicious lunch. Worth visiting just for their white chocolate and raspberry brownies! I’ve come home with two beautiful pieces and am very much looking forward to returning in the future."

"My Partner and I booked this course during the winter lockdown, as we are very interested in stained glass and we wanted something to look forward to! Attending course, which is in a stunning location and easy to find; was a lot more than was expected. Gill is a wonderful and friendly tutor, who made us feel comfortable and welcomed from the get go. The process of stained glass was taught very well with no pressure and we produced some beautiful pieces under Gills supervision. Lunch was included and covered by Gill, at the Cafe in the same building, which was so delicious, and a lovely bonus to be included in the overall course experience. Gill has gone above and beyond to provide not only a knowledgeable 2 day course, but a wonderful 2 days experience/getaway aswell. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to everyone!!"

The weekend was informative, relaxed and fun and I brought home a beautiful stained glass panel that I can proudly say 'I made' (with some help from Gill). I do though feel that I can have a go at home once I have bought some essential equipment; and can't wait to try out my new skills.
