Description:

This is a hand embroidery, slow stitching workshop for all those people who need to escape from their everyday chaotic life for a day and completely lose themselves in this addictive hobby. All designs and materials will be provided but you will be encouraged to create your own one off piece. Stitches can be as complicated as you want to make them but sometimes the simplest ones are the most effective. This is suitable for a complete beginner or the more advanced embroiderer. You will choose from several different types of prepared backgrounds and will embellish your design with some carefully chosen words, buttons, lace and fabrics. At the end of the day you will take away a finished piece ready to frame(frames will be available to purchase on the day).

Julie has taught for over 30 years and is a total Stitchaholic!

This workshop is held at the Trumpet Corner Gallery and Tea Room, which is just outside Ledbury (HR8 2RA) from 10am until 4.00pm. There is parking there and lunch will be provided for a payment of £5 which is payable on the day.

Courses also available in Birlingham, near Pershore in Worcester. For more information, click on "More courses run at this centre" below.

A lovely day spent in enchanting surroundings, being taught how to free up my imaginative restrictions! Julie is a warm and competent teacher, who made her fabulous stitchcraft accessible to us all. I came home with a piece of art which will happily hang on my sitting room wall. Thank you Julie, for your inspirational surroundings, your delicious refreshments and your lovely course. Great value for money.

My mother and I attended this course today and have come home with an almost complete masterpiece each.
Mum who had not embroidered for many years says ' It has inspired me take up my needles and thread again'
We both enjoyed a relaxing day learning and refreshing many techniques. Both of us are determined to finish the little we have left to do and put them on display in our homes.
A well tutored course in a great workshop in a lovely setting. Julie is an excellent teacher and lovely person

Thank you for a great day
