Susan Holden reviewed: Needle felting - woodland creature or bird, or other small animal: (beginners+)

"Had a wonderful time on this day course. Was a complete beginner and despite being an enthusiastic amateur where brain/eye/hand co-ordination is practically non-existent, I came away with a completed woodland animal that looked close to what it should look like! Sally was extremely encouraging and was able to put me right without me being aware of it. We were able to work at our own pace amongst a small friendly group of like-minded people and the time just whizzed by. Got the bug and will be back for more!"

Katharine Harding reviewed: Beginners Weaving with the Rigid Heddle Loom - at All in a Spin

"I really enjoyed this course. Dunja was an excellent teacher who made sure that we were all progressing and that we understood what we were doing. Her explanations were very clear, and she really gave me confidence to make a beautiful scarf by the end of the day. The setting is absolutely beautiful, and the classroom itself is cosy and inspiring, with lots of different examples of weaving and spinning around the room. I would highly recommend this course."

Clare Cowan reviewed: Fused glass jewellery - weekend 2-day course - Develop your glass jewellery making, design and cold working skills

"Fantastic course. I learned so much under Eleanor's friendly and expert tuition. She encourages participants to bring their 'own story' and creativity to glass making so you come away with unique and 'meaningful' pieces. There is a huge array of materials available to use to create your 'masterpieces'. Because of the firing schedules you will not come away from the course with your pieces but they will arrive promptly within a couple of days at no extra cost. If you are thinking of doing this course I would thoroughly recommend it. Thanks Clare"

Eleanor Designs responded:

"Thank you Clare for your kind review, I am pleased you enjoyed the Advanced Fused Glass Jewellery weekend course. You really captured the colours and feel of your sunsets and sea scapes in your jewellery and I hope you are wearing them with pride and telling your story! Thank you for coming! Eleanor"

Mark Warren reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"I did a bit of wood turning over 20 years ago and was self taught. We moved house and the lathe was put into a drawer where it stayed for 18 years! Last year I decided to get it set up again and have turned a few items which were ok but not fantastic. My wife bought me a day with Mark as a Xmas present and boy what a present it was. We started at 9.30 and finished just after 7.00 in the evening, my brain has had so much excellent advice put into it and I feel a lot more confident about what I am doing and what to do. I have a fantastic shopping list (birthday presents!) and can’t wait to get out into the garage to practice what I have learned. Mark is fantastic, he shows you what to do and let’s you get on with it, I was never afraid to ask for help when I needed it, he covers every aspect of turning and has so much knowledge. Thank you for a brilliant day Mark."

Sam Jacobs reviewed: Needle felting - woodland creature or bird, or other small animal: (beginners+)

"I attended this course with my mum as and early Mother's Day present and we had a fantastic day. Sally is lovely; she really wants you to get the most of out the day and we were not told what to make, we were asked what WE would like to make. Sally really wanted everyone to leave at the end of the day with having made something that they love. Some of us made cute moles and some of us, including me, made sleeping foxes. Sally is very good at explaining technique (and funny, too!) and she is patient and encouraging; perfect for complete beginners like us! Both mum and I came away with a cute creatures and a great feeling of achievement. I keep looking at my fox thinking "I made that!". My mum really enjoyed making her mole and had a great day. I highly recommend this course and I am now looking at Sally's other classes, because I know that they will be excellent. Thank you, Sally."

Kay C reviewed: Leather Bag Workshop - Two day Evancliffe Leathercraft Workshop

"This was an amazing, enjoyable and quite intense course, Wendy and Clive are great tutors, the class size was small so everyone and the help and attention they required. I had never worked with leather before, and am now the proud owner of a hand made leather handbag. I will definately be continuing to work with leather and am in the process of booking a second course with Wendy and Clive to help me make a bag and belt for re-enactment. If you have any desire to make your own handbags or leather goods then you could not find better teachers."

Evancliffe Leathercraft responded:

"Thank you for leaving this excellent review. We are so pleased you enjoyed the workshop. We usually limit the class size of this workshop to a maximum of 4 people, so it was actually at capacity. We feel this gives us the opportunity to give everyone the right amount of attention over the two days. We look forward to seeing you on another workshop soon!"
