Pearl Beeston reviewed: 'Art of Stained Glass' - Oldbury, Birmingham

"My friend and I had a wonderful day on the one day leaded glass workshop, nice relaxed atmosphere. We learnt a lot about stained glass and with Jamel's excellent tuition were able to make surprisingly good pieces to take home. If you are looking for something different, give it a go, can highly recommend this course."

Polly reviewed: Fused Glass Workshops

"Great introduction to glass fusing. Elaine was really helpful and you learn a lot in an afternoon, as well as making a decent sized piece of glass. It’s worth going with some idea of the design or style in advance."

Shuk reviewed: Leather Belt Bag Workshop

"Fabulous day spent with an amazing craftsperson. Richard was very thorough with all the different aspects of working with leather. He is a very patient and attentive tutor, I was quite nervous about making mistakes but was reassured all along the way. I absolutely love my new belt bag and hope to make some accessories to go with it one day. I intend to enrol on one of the two day courses in the near future to gain even more skills from the master craftsman. Thank you for the wonderful experience, highly recommended!"

Wendy Nicholson reviewed: Mosaics for the home and garden

"An excellent full day course that we organised for a group of six. Instructions were really clear for both our first time mosaic and our second time mosaic group members. The range of materials was really useful as each of our group had very different designs in mind. Frances offered advice and guidance throughout the day, she spotted possible issues and gave alternative solutions. Everyone was really pleased with their final pieces and once grouted they looked really effective. Would recommend Frances and her workshops to all ages and abilities."

Lynne Brown reviewed: Amazing encaustic art for two people Day Course

"My daughter, grand-daughter and I had a great day with Phil at his studio in the gorgeous village of Wilstone on Saturday. We came home with about 8 samples and a finished picture that combined all of the techniques that Phil had shown us throughout the day. We were surprised how many lovely effects we could achieve without any previous experience. Phil is very generous in the way he shares his talent and is also funny and hospitable. We had a great time."

Phil Madley responded:

"Glad you all enjoyed yourselves, and it did all work out fine, with the three of you. Hope to see you again sometime. Best Wishes to you all."

Bekki reviewed: Craft Workshop: Learn to make silver art clay jewellery in a day (beginner)

"Really good introduction to learning to use silver clay! Sally was very attentive to each of us and I came away with a lovely matching set of a pendant and earrings which was a wonderful souvenir of a wonderful day :) she also had lots of tips and tricks for someone wanting to start doing it for themselves with cheaper alternatives to marketed silver clay tools which can be quite pricey! All in all an amazing day and a good introduction to the wonder that is silver clay!"

Ann Brown reviewed: Crochet market bag class - East Grinstead

"A really good course, Nicole is very knowledgable and makes the course interesting and informative. At the same time the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly so you’re not afraid to ask her questions, I love the way she can explain the correct and simplest way to do something and help put you on the right track when things don’t seem to be working out quite right! You come away feeling you’ve accomplished something, as well as confident and ready to have a go all on your own ?"

James Hardy reviewed: Introduction to Leather Craft

"I can happily report that I too had an excellent two days undertaking one of Bill’s courses. He is a highly knowledgeable, experienced and effective teacher; has an easygoing manner and a great (and mischievous) sense of humour! As many others have reported, it is amazing the skills one can acquire over the course of a weekend when it is led by someone as enthusiastic and energetic as Bill. If, like me, you have always harboured a secret ambition to learn how to saddle-stitch leather and to have a go at making something from it then I unreservedly recommend you attend one of his courses."

Alex Byrd reviewed: Full day silver and copper pendant making workshop

"We had a really fun and rewarding day, my wife and I (first man on the course!). Hawys was lovely and took us through what we could do and also kept our expectations in check as we were both beginners. We both managed to get finished pieces out by the end of the day that we were very happy with. Across the course, we did cutting and stamping of both metals, learning about what happens when you work with the materials and the processes that finish them off into wearable pieces of jewellery. We also managed to do soldering, joining both the silver and copper metals together to create the completed items of jewellery. The excellent tuition and patience, taking us through the process and with Hawys' skills in simplifying the design process and making the items achievable for us to make was superb. If you are looking for a different way to spend a day together and might enjoy making something for your wife as well (good brownie points !) then give it a go. Thanks, Hawys for a great day!!!"

Maria reviewed: 1 day introduction to silver jewellery making - Ely

"The day we spent at Jonathan's studio was absolutely fantastic! Jonathan is so warm and welcoming and his teaching style is structured but relaxed. He encourages you to abandon any hangups you have with saws or blowtorches and to simply go for it after he demonstrates a technique, but he's also available to guide you through every step of the process. Jonathan teaches in such a way to provide guidance past the one-day course, and so introduces every tool along with some model/prices alternatives to best suit your interests, should you decide to continue your jewellery-making hobby. He was also very hospitable - tea, coffee, and all the gingerbread biscuits you could ever want :) He even took us into his home for homemade lunch!"

Danni reviewed: Two day leather work course - bag making

"Wow, where to start? I had a fantastic two days, gaining many new skills along the way. Great hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. Both Jason and Louise are enthusiastic, encouraging, patient and inspiring. Jason is very knowledgeable and is keen to impart his knowledge to others. They are both very interesting people with exciting ideas for the future. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable about asking for help, especially when making mistakes! They openly encouraged questions and ideas. I left with a quality bag, a wealth of new knowledge and an eagerness to carry on working with leather and learn more. My husband has already made a burnishing tool for me. Can't praise them enough. Thank you Jason and Loiuse."
