"I spent a very informative and enjoyable day at Eden Soap School learning how to make various types of candles, eg, pillar, votive, etc, wax melts, and diffusers. Sue and John gave us a very warm welcome. There were only four people on the course which was ideal and we could ask all the questions we had. We took home all the items we made and I, for one, can't wait to make more! "

"Heya Seema, In my workshops there are plenty of tools to use and discuss uses for your experience but you don't need to invest in too many to kickstart your business, I'm so glad you can now incorporate new techniques to your personal designs. You were very focussed on each aspect I taught you which is brilliant, and a good idea it to keep a small notebook of simple designs, gauges of wire and measurements used for if you need to make parts regularly such as ear wires and findings. You could even try some classes more locally for other techniques to add to your skills set. Thanks again for attending the course and keep on creating :) "

"Birthday present from my wife, must say that I had a great time with Bob he really knows his stuff makes it look so effortless the morning spent learning the basic skills with the afternoon being used to make an item of your own choice, came away with a top-quality hanging basket holder that will last for ages. Brews on tap, Bob goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and makes sure you are safe in the environment. I cannot recommend this enough for any how what’s any excellent day."

Your skills definitely improved throughout the sessions as there was so much to learn from types of tools, thicknesses of wire depending on your project. to making different types of ear wires from the French hook to a swirly stud. It was good to break the session up to learn different techniques from dainty wire wrap with seed beads to annealing and hammering a rich texture on much heavier gauge wire. It has been a pleasure to teach you and so glad you came with lots of enthusiasm. Let me know how you get on with finishing your projects. Great resources available and a lovely atmosphere in the studios above the Hope mill Theatre in Manchester. Small group of 4 of us and we really enjoyed ourselves. Left with a new found skill I will be keen to carry on. Thanks Sharon, what a fabulous day. your knowledge and enthusiasm for the stained glass copper foiling was infectious. "As a self taught (YouTube!) DIYer, I realised that it was time to get some professional training before I had an accident! I found Marks course online, and thought it would be reasonably local and just what I needed. On the day, I was a bit nervous in case I wasn’t experienced enough, but I needn’t have worried. Mark was friendly and informative, and no question was unanswered. He let me learn at my own speed and helped when necessary, but left to make a mistake when I needed to, because that’s how we learn! I now feel confident in sharpening my chisels and planes, making some basic joints and he helped me to get confidence with my router. He is a font of knowledge and I will be returning to do another course very soon. Highly recommended. "

"I enjoyed the course very much. However, I felt that, the course would have worked better for me, if the practical and theory would have been separate, not altogether. It was clear that the teacher was knowledgeable, and was giving out information, but we had to be getting on with other jobs, so it meant that I wasn’t able to retain the information given. I feel that the time allocated to the course is too short. "
