Lindsey McDonald reviewed: Paul Siggins mosaic masterclass Leigh-on-Sea

"This was a great course, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was quite nervous to begin with as had never done mosaics before and wasn't sure if I would struggle especially with cutting glass! Paul and the team were fantastic and very patient. They were always at hand to help at every stage, explaining and demonstrating. The work space was lovely, bright and relaxing to work in. I loved every minute of creating my mosaic and can't wait to start another project. Thank you so much."

Sue Swan reviewed: Fused Glass Jewellery Workshop

"I did this course with my daugther. The venue was relaxed and comfortable. Teresa gave clear instructions and ensured our safety. She gave us a free hand in the choice of materials and a free hand to be creative but was on hand with support or inspiration if needed. It was a great experience that allowed us to socialise whilst learning a new skill. The materials available allowed for lots of scope and I was very pleased with the item I was able to create."

Emily Cunningham reviewed: One day Mosaic workshop Moon Hare Studio, Devon

"A brilliant introduction to mosaicing (is that a verb?) from Adela. She's warm, friendly, informative and encouraging. You can bring your own design to work from or choose one of hers, making it stress-free and enjoyable. The walls are covered in her amazing mosaics but somehow that was inspiring not intimidating. Me and my daughter left feeling very happy with our day's work."

Andrew Middleton reviewed: Learn to carve wooden spoons, beginners and improvers

"This course, and of course Dave, provided a very good introduction to the skill of spoon carving. For me it was especially useful to get hands on with the four basic tools and to experience their use. The pace was very good and we all ended up with useful items, the spreader has already been in use. Highly recommended."

Peter Charles Medawar reviewed: French Polishing & Woodcare - Beginners Course - 1 Day

"At the time of writing, Oliver's course had received 45 reviews - of which 44 were five-star and one (from a well satisfied student) four star. I've never seen any teacher/course rated that highly but, having done a one-day course, in March 2020, i can easily see why. These ratings are completely deserved: Ollie is a master craftsman and also a brilliant teacher: he's painstaking, patient, approachable, and generous with his time. And his course is well worked out and comes with very useful course notes: I'm so glad I went and I came away with more understanding than I could reasonably have hoped for. Very many thanks."

Anelyne reviewed: Make your own natural beauty products

"I really enjoyed my session with Lucie ! I was able to make my own cleansing lotion with all natural products. Lucie guided me through the course and gave me sound advice to choose the suitable ingredients for my skin. I've been using my cleansing lotion for a week now, and I'm so happy with it. Nice to apply on the skin, effective at removing makeup and it smells so good... It is a great satisfaction ! I'll try the other courses she offers. I'd love to make my own deodorant ! Thanks again, Lucie !"

Chris and Bob reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Bob and I are most grateful for these last two days of woodturning tuition under your George's expert hand. His approach, insisting on the basics of the craft, was exactly what we hoped for but also gave us a real sense of progress and achievement over the two days. The four bowls we brought home were welcomed with enthusiasm. We also appreciated Susan’s hospitality and her delicious lunches, as well as the frequent cups of tea/coffee and biscuits. I will be in touch shortly, I hope, to seeking his advice on fitting out my workshop with a starter kit for woodturning. Both Bob and I have definitely caught the bug! With all good wishes and many thanks Chris and Bob"

Terri Carsey reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Maidenhead - Thursday

"I attended my first course last September 2019. This was my first venture back into art for about 20 years. The class was welcoming and very well organised by Rene. Everything was provided and taken care of at the end of the class. Inge taught us step by step, which was very helpful and was encouraging throughout. Most classes I have attended classes back in the past, have always made an assumption of prior knowledge. This class managed to differentiate between those of us who required going back to basics and those who were very advanced. The provision of materials takes away the issue of always needing the right tools for the sessions and provided lessons which started with basic drawing then going through most mediums. This made this course an absolute pleasure. I started to feel I could tackle projects at home and have every intention of re-joining a class this year. I cannot recommend Colour Wheel more highly."

Rosanna Mann reviewed: Upholstered furniture Level 1 - The Storage Footstool

"I had a fantastic time doing the Storage Footstool course. Having wanted to try both upholstery and carpentry for some time it was the perfect introduction to both. Was also really impressed with the care taken to use environmentally friendly materials. The course tutor was great - friendly, knowledgeable and able to adapt the course to suit different people's needs. Have learnt a load of new skills and ended up with a footstool that is far more stylish and sturdy than I ever imagined I could build!"

Lucy Bloomfield reviewed: Lino Printing Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"We had a really lovely day with Claire. From start to finish her attention to detail was incredible. I attended with my mum and sister, between us we have attended a lot of these courses and we all agreed this had been the most enjoyable and well-run of the lot. We left with the knowledge to help us develop our skills and an appreciation of how skilled Claire is at her craft- check out her wood block carvings they are incredible."

Liz Thompson reviewed: Paint your own piece - furniture workshop - North Wales

"What a great way to spend a Saturday! A friend and I had been given vouchers for a craft course and we selected furniture upcycling with Charlotte at Afonwen Antique and Craft Centre. Charlotte was very welcoming and helped us to make initial decisions regarding our items of furniture. She gave us plenty of information and practical assistance and by the end of the session we both had a beautifully renovated item. I was so pleased with my coffee table. The result far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for all your help, Charlotte, it was a very enjoyable and productive day."

Charlotte's Country Commissions responded:

"Thank you Liz, I am so thrilled you enjoyed the day and was over the moon with your new piece of furniture. You worked hard to get it complete and it looked wonderful in the end, Well done."
