Wet felting workshop
10.00am - 12.00am +
Max no 4
Tutor: Virginia Murphy
Wet felting is a method of producing felt from wool and other fibres. Warm soapy water is applied to layers of wool tops. Repeated agitation and compression causes the fibres to hook together to create a single piece of fabric. You will really enjoy creating a beautiful picture using an amazing array of colours. Once the work has dried you will be able to hand or machine embroider on top to further enhance your work (your work will not be dry during session). Virginia will demonstrate machine embroidery at the end of the session.
You will need to bring a wooden rolling pin, a large towel to absorb water from your felt as you are making it and pictures to inspire you. Virginia will bring pictures and books just in case you can't find anything you like.
For further details please contact Virginia via the phone number or contact form above.
What's included in the price?
Materials included but you will need to bring a wooden rolling pin, a large towel to absorb water from your felt as you are making it and any pictures that you have to inspire you.
