About the Course
Treat yourself with a private session where you yourself decide what you want to make. I am confident to teach needle felting as well as wet felting. I can recommend project suitable for beginners or improvers as I have created several designs, especially for my workshops and DIY kits.
I can offer several 3D needle felting projects of ornaments and sculptures: birds, bunnies, foxes, penguins, hedgehogs, owls, toadstools and more. I also have experience in making 2D needle felted pictures. Contact me and suggest your own idea! (For group sessions, please choose one project/topic for all students - as I go along with students presenting each step on my own creation made during the session).
Wet felting of small/medium items will also be possible: flowers, jewellery, small scarves, beads and more.
Price: Depending on size of the creation and technique used, one session can take from 2 to 5 hours. Time and number of students will affect the price (e.g. 4 hour session is £75 if one person attending OR £55 per person if 2 people attending).
Time/date will be agreed to suit both - myself and the student/s. I am available on most Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I prefer to teach in daylight.
Location: One to one/two sessions are usually held at my place in Cambridge CB4 1FD. For 3 - 7 students I am renting a venue, or if suitable, we may arrange the session at students place.
Please contact me via "Contact Course Provider" button above.
I also run needle felting workshops for groups of up to 7 people, more info under the "More courses..." button below.

What's included in the price?
I will supply all the tools and materials needed: wool, silk and other natural fibres.
If needle felting you will be using a quality star needle (every student will get one needle to work with and take home), various kinds of wool and a foam pad.
There will be a short break - tea, coffee & biscuits will be provided.
I arranged a workshop with Zenia in my home to celebrate my 60th birthday. There were seven of us and we all made a felted bunny. Only one person had done felting before, but by the end everyone had created a beautiful little creature, and I got so many positive comments afterwards; my friends said that they enjoyed every minute and everyone left feeling very happy. Zenia is a talented, patient teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was so nice that everyone had something meaningful to take home.

I was privileged to take part in an online private workshop. I just started needle felting this past year and came across The Lady Moth's work on Facebook. I was very excited to learn more about this great artform. During our session, Zenia guided me through making a duckling. I learned how to start off by sculpting my duckling, how to angle my needle for best results, how much wool to use for little details and a couple different techniques for shading. It really was a wonderful experience. Zenia was patient, happy to answer my questions and very encouraging along the way. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced felter, I would recommend taking any of Zenia's workshops.

My friend Liz and I had a wonderful private session with Zenia. She made us very welcome in her lovely home and we made robins! We learned so much about how to handle the fibres, which tools to use, how to build up different shapes and textures. It has given us the confidence to carry on with our own projects although we have already booked our next session with this excellent teacher to learn different techniques.

I had such fun during my one to one session with Zenia. I have chosen to make a robin for a Christmas wreath and it was my first ever introduction to felting. Zenia has provided me with all sorts of inspiration and examples of how to do it, but not in any way restrictive to my creativity . It was great to have Zenia for myself as I could verify all ideas I had and learn how to make it happen as well as having help on hand with proportions, positioning of details and general quality of the felt creation.
Needles to say I have discovered new hobby and my family is impressed with my skills none of which would happen if not for this session with Zenia.

Such a beautiful morning making a needle felted owl.. I just want to say a big thank you for sharing your creative techniques all in one lesson and the final product was phenomenal! At first, I was a complete beginner at needle-felting but with your guidance and clear instructions, I'm sure to try out these sort of sessions and the hobby itself. I would definitely recommend these sessions as every minute is worth the money 😄

Response from The Lady Moth:Thank you so much :)
Had a really enjoyable few hours with Zenia working on a sunflower pin cushion.
Zenia's instructions were clear and easy to follow. There was no pressure and she was very patient and concerned that I ended up completing a successful project.
Would certainly recommend, and am looking forward to joining another class in the future.

I would highly recommend this course provider. She was very flexible, organising a bespoke course for myself, my mother and sister. She brought all the necessary equipment, and helped us make a lovely owl each. She was clear with all her instructions and also gave great advice on how to shape the parts of the owl that had gone wrong to make them right. She took just the right amount of time and gave us each individual attention. It was a very pleasant, fun afternoon, and we are all very proud of our owls. She then left us the needles and enough skill to experiment by ourselves. Thank you so much Zenia for a wonderful afternoon.

I would definitely recommend a bespoke workshop with Zenia. Me and a friend wanted to try something that had a few different textures so we could learn a variety of techniques and she was really helpful in deciding what would be a suitable project to work on.
As there were only two of us she was able to watch what we were doing and give us individual feedback throughout the workshop. She was very helpful and patient. She didn't rush us at all and her explanations were really clear so we knew what to do and why.

I spent a very relaxed and enjoyable afternoon with Żenia and a friend on our 1 to 2 workshop. She designed a hedgehog at our request to try something fluffy, very cute little guys!
It was useful to be able to check how we were doing as we went along and learn some specific techniques for adding detail as well as the basics. Her creations are gorgeous!
As well as dome nice biscuits :) Żenia left us with needles (and a little wool for any later alterations) and some great advice about what we could do for future projects.
I'd recommend to anyone starting out with felting figures

Spent a really memorable and wonderful afternoon with Zenia - I got to choose to make a robin. She was a fantastic teacher - very clear and helpful and informative and organised. I was really delighted with my end result and am inspired to do more. Thoroughly recommend either private tuition or her many courses which look great fun - I personally loved having one-one help with the private tuition. Her communication before hand was excellent, and she was so friendly and welcoming when I met her. I also loved seeing all her gorgeous creations and hearing about how she made them.
