Learn how to felt a pleasingly round plant pot and some smaller felted bowls. With Cecily Kate's guidence in the time time-honoured tradition of wet felting you'll go home with a gorgeous felted plant pot to proudly display at home! Cecily Kate will guide you every step of the way, supporting you with the perfect colour pallet from a vibrant spectrum of coloured wool fibre as well as various earth tones. Where our ancestors once used various shapes and sizes of river rocks to felt around we will be using a sturdy modern inflatable ball as our 3D form or ‘resist', coupled with a few other contemporary aids to help the process along. Cecily Kate's homemade gentle organic soap will be on hand to use as the important ingredient in the wet felting process. Suitable for all skill levels, even if you are a complete beginner. Please note: Wet felting is fun and does involve soapy bubbles, water and some elbow grease so be prepared roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! ​ ​You will make... • A round Felted Vessel (maybe two) ​ During this workshop you will learn … ​​ • How to choose different fibre combinations and colours to make your own unique felt vessel • How to layer and wrap the wool and blend colour layers of fibre in reverse • How to use various water temperatures and natural soap to help felt the fibres • How to recognise when your vessel has been fully felted • How to create a waterproof layer ​
