Description

Fine and flexible wire is a lovely material to work with, enabling you to create characterful objects, with a drawn-like quality to them and all without causing harm to your hands. We will explore joining techniques, wrapping, shaping and sculpting wire, create a range of small, decorative pieces of sculpture inspired by nature and natural forms; they are sure to take pride of place in your home. About the tutor Liz Wellby is a versatile and experienced artist, teacher and maker, with a particular interest in sculpture and printmaking. Following the completion of a Fine Arts degree at Loughborough University and subsequent post graduate studies, she returned to Derbyshire, where for over 25 years she has lived and worked. Home for Liz, her husband and a cat called Bert, is now a small village on the edge of the Peak District.

What's included in the price?

The workshop will run from 10.30 - 4.30pm, including: tuition, materials use of equipment, plus biscuits, at your venue. Please select 'Chat with the maker' if you would like to contact the course organiser in advance of booking with any queries or requests.
