A welding course for beginners for two people. One to one option for this course can be found via 'More from this maker' button below.
This one day course is for beginners or experienced metalworkers. Welding is not hard once you have been shown, it's just practice and good lighting, and knowing where to set the amps.
The course will teach you how to weld steel and stainless steel, rod, tube and sheet material using an SWP Digi Tig 200 AC/DC Pulse welder, we will also cover brazing with a Tig welder.
I have taught many, mostly ladies how to weld in my 30 years running workshops. The best way to learn to weld is to make something, so we will be forming some metal into shapes to weld together to form a basic metal sculpture depending if you have a one or a two day course. This course is suitable for anyone thinking of buying a welder, try before you buy, advice and support are offered for anyone wanting to set up their own welding shop.
Please bring a note book to write down the important information I teach you.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

Great course. We were welding within 30 minutes and by the end of the day we'd tried several types and I think I now have an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Roger's very passionate about what he does which made it a fun day.
Roger arranged for the two of us to spend the day in his workshop. Made great use of the time and allowed us to get loads done in the day. We learned the basics of TIG welding and improved our skills during the day, also learned how to brass braze. By the end of the day, we had new metalwork skills and had produced a great sculpture to take home. 5/5.
Talk to Roger before the day and he can help you start to think about what is possible to make during the day.
