About the Course
This is a ceramic sculpting course, lasting between 2-4 days for those students who live further away, or who want to immerse themselves more intensively into the sculpting experience. B&B in the village or in Oxford/Jericho can be offered - alternatively it can be sought independently. The teaching approach is focused on the individual creative experience, and all subject matters are on offer: human figure, head, animals and abstract/organic forms or vessels. Many teaching materials ( toy animals, a library of laminated images, sculptures by the tutor or by other students) help gain visual understanding of the subject matter. Beatrice Hoffman has went twenty five years of experience of teaching sculpture, with an added art therapy degree and working experience. The sculpting is both therapeutic, as well as teaching many skills - ceramic, artistic, technical, observational and creative.
