Description

Ditch the devices! If your children spend too much time on their electronic gadgets and you would love to have more quality time with them, look no further than our pot throwing and making course for your family. This course is designed so that you and your children share a unique experience, learning how to throw pots and model some fantastic outcomes. We can accommodate families of 2-7 intergenerational members. Enjoy the opportunity for you and your family to laugh, communicate and enjoy a journey of discovery together, without the stresses and strains of everyday life. Book in advance for a perfect treat and really ignite the imagination! The course fee stated is for a child 6 -16 years and a parent or other senior family member. A booking unit is described as one adult and one child for £95. Please contact me to enquire about other combinations.

What's included in the price?

There are no hidden charges - everything required for a fulfilling and memorable pot throwing and modelling experience is included in the price; that includes, tools, use of the potter's wheel, clay, tuition, firing and an invitation to come back and glaze and decorate your work. I keep the classes small as I like to maximize the amount of personal tuition you receive and the amount of time you spend on the potter's wheel. This course is highly interactive, fun and you will learn lots!

"Had a great morning, learning the basics of using a wheel to throw a pot. Good atmosphere in the workshop area, a simple but effective set-up. Clear instruction given and great patience shown by Richard with the number of attempts needed to arrive at a recognisable outcome, mainly pots but a few dishes thrown in. Positive feedback after each attempt. All 5 students arrived at one or two successful results by the end. Now, need to go back to glaze the pots at a later, to be arranged date."

After teaching us the basics and producing a couple of pots we got the chance to do a few more to test what we'd learned. It made a great birthday present and would highly recommend."
