About the Course
Have you often had a yearning to have a go on a pottery wheel or understand what goes into making an item out of clay? Or perhaps you have been inspired by the Great Pottery Throw Down seen on BBC2? Ponder no longer the solution is right here! The very popular and successful pottery courses are open again on the cobbles in Haworth from Wednesday 21st February 2018, after artist and pottery tutor Sonje Hibbert undertaking an art residency in Dartmoor National Park in 2017. Please get in touch to be put on the mailing list or to inquire for further information. Courses will run regularly through out the week. Three hour sessions available, morning, afternoon or evening. Get in touch - we are happy to discuss options.
Perfect for a small group of friends or family wanting to share, or for individuals wanting a social creative play! All ages and abilities are accommodated. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Pottery wheels, slab roller and pug mill available in order for you to learn the pottery craft!
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Tools and aprons are available. There will be an extra charge for pieces made which is dictated by the weight of the final piece. This includes the clay, the glaze and the firing cost. For a four week course you can expect this to be under £10.
Hi Sonya. Thanks for an excellent day yesterday. You were a complete star, keeping us all busy and focused and offering a flexible day tailored to our skills and pace of working. We were really pleased with what we managed to achieve by the end of the day. Thank you again for a memorable family day out.

Response from Werxzovart Studio Gallery:Thanks Judith, it was a pleasure to meet you all and do pottery with you. You were all very creative and it was quite exciting to see what you made! Sonje
Thank you so much Sonje! We had such a great time on our all day pottery and clay workshop at Sonje's studio in Princetown, Dartmoor. Her artwork and pottery is beautiful and she was a fantastic teacher, encouraging us to find our own style, teaching us lots of new skills and keeping the day really fun. She was great in tailoring the day to what we were looking for; a one day private session with 4 of us so i would really recommend getting in touch with her to talk about what you would like to do! Thanks again, we had a great time and would really recommend Sonje's workshops to anyone who is new to pottery and clay to give it a go!!

Response from Werxzovart Studio Gallery:Thankyou Emily, It was such a great day for me as well and I am so pleased you all enjoyed yourselves! If you are ever in West Yorkshire do pop in and say hello! Sonje
I spent two days at Princetown with Sonje Hibbert learning to throw on the wheel, i went with a friend and we both had a very interesting and happy time with Sonje. She is a very skilled and patient potter and her workshop was very inspirational she had beautiful pottery and paintings for us to look at.
She is also very skilled and knowledgeable about glazes and all mediums to decorate pottery.
Two fabulous days and very good value for money with a very skilled patient lady.
Kathie Weedon - - #12250
