About the Course

In this one day course I will guide you through all the processes involved in hand-forging your own knife to take home. You will learn the basics of forging, heat treating and sharpening your blade.

You will choose from a variety of designs: small bushcraft, steak, pruning and scribing knives and the handles will be shaped from the same piece of steel, which we will adapt for a personal fit.

Suitable for those with no previous experience, I will guide you through every step of the process. Spaces are limited to three per workshop so that you can feel taken care of, ask as many questions as you need and have one to one attention at crucial points in the knife making process.

Lunch and drinks will be provided on the day.

*If you are a group of three people and would like to book a course out of the designated dates, please get in contact with me.

*As blacksmithing, bladesmithing is not an easy craft, be well rested and ready to hammer your way through. We do take every precaution to avoid accidents except the odd blister or scratch. Thus the workshop is suitable for 18+ or 16+ with an adult.

Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you soon!

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

All PPE , tea, coffee and lunch.

Want to review this course?

This was a really great day. There were enough students on the day (4) to make it social but not so many that Konstantinos was unable to give each the individual attention we all needed. Konstantinos was knowledgeable and we were mentored throughout the day with questions answered and Konstantinos was able to sort out any issues with, at least in my case, less than competent metal working.

Overall money well spent.
