Axe Making Course - One Day Blacksmithing Experience
Come down to the forge and make your very own axe. We will cover every aspect from basic forging techniques and hammer control, then grinding and profiling followed by heat treatment and fitting the handle so that you end up with a fully functional bearded axe that will last you a lifetime.
What's included in the price?
All the materials needed for your course are included and I will supply safety equipment. Refreshments such as tea, and coffee will be provided, but bringing a packed lunch is advised. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or getting holes in – cotton t-shirts/tops, jeans and boots are best. Long hair will need to be tied back at all times. The forge is a large open space, and we'll have the doors open to give maximum airflow. Participants are welcome to wear a mask or visor, however given the physical nature of the course we are not making this compulsory as we want to ensure you are comfortable. Hand sanitising is available on arrival, and to use during the day.
Medium - Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts
