Mixed media wall hanging with Anne Brooke

Description

Inspired by her own work, textile artist Anne will take you step-by-step through the process of creating your own mixed media mini hanging and in the process will introduce you to a range of hand embroidery techniques, embellishments and inspirations.

If you wish to choose a particular colour theme to work in and make your piece personal to you, you may wish to bring any of the following:
– something to hang your piece from (driftwood, bobbin, dowel or even a frame).
(this will determine the size of the piece, so if you want to finish it in a day, don’t make it too big!)
– embroidery threads in coordinating colours (Perle, DMC, Anchor or other threads – we will have some you can use)
– any embellishments you may want to add to your piece.

This workshop is suitable for any level of embroiderer whether you are starting out or want combine known techniques with new ones.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
