Felt Making Classes
This is a wonderful, tactile craft and seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment. I have been teaching feltmaking for around 15 years so you are in safe hands. I also try to tailor the class so that you can choose what you make (within reason) so we can look at making a specific animal, or even creating a picture based on one you have bought with you. I also teach hollow form, so you can make a bag, Ipad cover etc too.
What is felt making?
Felting is the process of fusing wool fibres (pre-spinning stage) together to create felt, which has numerous properties as well as being very versatile to use.
I teach a range of needle felting techniques for embellishment or to create beads, 3D shapes, animals and felted pictures.
Wet felting is also covered including making flat felt, and hollow things such as bags that doesn't need stitching, ipad covers, tea cosies...the list goes on.
Please note these prices include materials.
Classes are tailored to suit so contact me to book for your individual requirements. I can take classes of up to 3 people.
This class is also suitable for schools, hen parties, or crafty friends who might like to get together and try a new skill - do contact me for more details about costs.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
All materials and tea, coffee and biscuits.

I spent a lovely day with Toni learning wet felting and making a tablet case. She is an excellent teacher and generous with materials. Her explanations were clear and backed up with well written information to take home.
I also tried a little needle felting project.
I would certainly recommend her classes...it was an easygoing fun day learning a new skill.
I'd learned welt-felting last year with Toni, which was excellent, so came back tot his year's summer school to try needle-felting. Another great experience. I learned how to create a 'picture' by needle-felting onto a felt background base, create a 3d decorative piece & how to make a felted animal. Lovely tips on how to finish animal or bird pieces. I enjoyed every minute.
Had a very enjoyeble day at Abberton today, felting. Toni runs a very good class and being small and friendly you get the help you need. We came away with 3 items of needle felted pieces and a wet felted piece of fabric that we will make into a flower brooch.

I had a great time learning wet-felting, making a much-needed tea cosy (with a landscape design) & a gorgeous 3D pink & white rose, which I needle-felted into shape. I learned more about needle-felting & hope to create more at home. Toni is a fantastic teacher, always helping & encouraging you to enjoy the experience.
Spent a wonderful day learning wet felting with Toni. I finished three projects an iPad cover, a picture and the makings for a flower. Toni is warm and friendly and a wonderful teacher. Thank you Toni :)
The two felting courses I have done with Toni were great fun and very well taught and informative. I came away with useful bags that are also pretty, and with a great sense of achievement!
Just had a wonderful morning with Toni learning needle-felting. Came home with a lovely owl that I made all my own work! Toni is very friendly, very knowledgeable and has an excellent way of teacher her crafts, the time flew by. I now feel confident to try some at home. Thank you Toni, would recommend you to everyone, and will certainly promote you where I can.
Toni happily included needle felting into a bespoke "playday" for me which also included polymer clay bead making and a very brief dabble with friendly plastic (much hilarity!). This was the third one to one session I have done with Toni and, as always, the day was friendly, fun and informative. Toni never scrimps on resources with so much to choose from and she is happy for you to use whatever you need / want. The class was very relaxed and I only stabbed myself a few times, coming away with something that vaguely resembled a cat - and armed with plenty of advice and tips (and more materials) to continue at home to perfect the poor creature (my artistic ability, not Toni's teaching - which was excellent as always).
Have done several classes with Toni now and I can thoroughly recommend her. Her classes are friendly places; you immediately feel welcome and confident. Toni is an excellent teacher and classes are generously resourced. If you are interested in wet and/or needle felting then one of Toni's classes is a good place to start.
