About the Course
This one day course (10.30am-3.30pm) will take you through three popular pottery techniques; coiling, slab building and pot throwing.
During the day you will make either a coiled fairy house, bowl or planter, then you will make a slabbed vase or tealight holder then, finally, throw a pot on one of our potter’s wheels. If time permits you could also have a go at pinching a set of dishes or making a delightful robin redbreast!
All pieces made during the day will be dried, fired then available for collection approx. two weeks later. Anyone wishing to glaze their work may join any drop-in session at the studio (£10 per session).
There will be a short break for lunch so you can bring a packed lunch, order a special lunchtime 'meal deal' from our onsite Thai cafe or get something from one of the many nearby shops.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, no previous experience necessary.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
