Introduction to ceramics- 8 week course.
This course is perfect for beginners of all ages, but also caters for more experienced potters who just want to come and use our facilities. Depending on your skill level, we can give you as much or as little help as you need.

If you can’t attend certain nights, you can arrange another time with us to make up your missed hours, we’re very flexible!

We have 2 groups, one on Monday nights and one on Thursday nights. When you visit our ticket page you will be able to choose which night you wish to sign up for, or you can join both if you’re really keen! We will meet on your chosen evening from 7:15pm-9:15 pm for 8 weeks. During this time we’ll teach you how to throw pots, make slab/coil pots, decoration techniques and glazing. At the end of the course you will have your own finished pieces to take home. The price includes materials and firing for up to 4lbs of finished pieces, (4-5 mug or cereal bowl sized pots) but if you make extra pieces and want to keep them then we will calculate a price based on the weight of the additional pots to cover our material and firing costs.

We believe pottery is a very relaxing and therapeutic activity and a great way to meet new people.
Come and get creative!

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Nice diverse group of people on course. Joe and Bob are very helpful and great at encouraging people. I have already booked my next planter workshop. I will definitely recommend this course to others.

Really enjoyed! The 6 weeks flew by which is my only negative. Bob and Joe were knowledgeable and helpful and I learned lots. Will definitely book again.

As a first timer this has been a great experience. I found it very relaxing and therapeutic. Bob and Joe are great at what they do and teach. The workshop numbers (max 8) are great so Bob and Joe are able to provide attention to each of us when required. I'm booked for my 2nd workshop and my husband in tow this time. Thoroughly recommend.
