About the Course
In this workshop, you will learn how to make a sampler quilt using several different blocks and techniques including: appliqué, friendship star, ohio star, flying geese and quarter squares. The first blocks will be easy, but will increase in difficulty. You will learn how to add sashing to these blocks to make a quilt topper with a finished size of 100 x 100cm. Next you will learn how to quilt the topper, the wadding and the backing before finishing with a bias binding.
Our instructor, Angharad, has over 7 years experience of teaching ranging from instructing Royal Air Force personnel how to control aircraft, coaching and facilitating leaders and teaching beginners sewing, patchwork and curtain making. We strive to make our learning atmosphere friendly, calm and informal as we really believe that's what our customers want!
The next course runs on Wednesdays 2-4pm, 5 September - 10 October 2018.
