Freehand Machine Embroidery/Piecing/Quilting Landscapes with Gillian Abram Pingwynny Textiles

Description

Create one of Gillian's simply gorgeous SILHOUETTED LANDSCAPE designs. Create beautiful sunset scenes or landscapes in batik fabrics. We use raw edge applique and stitch to bring the pictures to life. Fabric pack included and will make 6"x8" pictures. Use your imagination and my samples or bring a photo or line drawing for inspiration on creating your own silhouettes. Use free motion or your normal foot for the stitching. Please bring your machine, new needle size 90/14 and a selection of threads in sunset and landscape colours and black. If you have an extension table for your machine please bring that.

"Back again! This time to make a toile. I am making a jacket which I have put off for years after having some doubts about my abilities. Here was the opportunity to really learn a few new things. However, a great deal of time and patience was required of the tutor. I certainly got that in spades. Anyway, I've been guided along and now feel yes, I think this is actually going to work out. I will definitely be back if only to get help with the pockets!"

"A really good positive experience. Working alone has its difficulties when worried about the actual pattern, what sort of interfacing is needed, where to alter the darts, will this material suit the pattern, body shape etc. These queries can be answered here as you go along, so you can correct, alter and complete without throwing the garment in the corner! Plus, lets face it, its nice to have confirmation of 'so I was right then?' Wow! I have booked another course. "
