Description
Completed our beginner class and want to further develop your love for pottery? Then this is perfect for you. The intermediate throwing workshop will take you to the next level, learning new skills and building on the foundations of throwing. As an intermediate you will learn how to throw lidded vessels, creating forms with galleries (a step in the rim of the pot). This will involve taking accurate measurements with callipers to ensure the fits correctly. If you have already covered this technique we can tailor the day to suit your requirements of learning or areas that you need to develop. At the end of the day you will have produced two lidded vessels which will then be decorated with underglaze colour. Any additional pots you would like firing are charged at £5 each. Post lesson your pots will be dried out in our studio before going through a double firing process. The first firing process is the biscuit firing to 1000oc before being glazed with a food safe, lead-free glaze and fired again to 1120oc. Your bowl will be ready to collect in approximately 2-3 weeks after your lesson.

You will be provided with all materials and an apron to wear on the day. Liquid refreshments will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch.
