My daughter and I love attending different craft workshops but neither of us had never experienced felting previously. We had a wonderful session with Lesley in her craft room with excellent tuition and materials . We were amazed at how well our first attempts at a picture turned out all due to Lesley's help and demonstrations. We would recommend Lesley's workshops to anyone who is interested in Felting as she has a passion for her craft and guides you through the steps, carefully explaining the processes to ensure success.
Thorougly enjoyed the course, Lesley's workshop was full of beautiful felting and the tuition was very clear and Lesley helped everyone on the morning at different levels. I was pleased with my seascape and now just have to pop in frame. Would highly recommend if you want to learn felting. Best Denise
I really don't know what I can add to all the well deserved comments left by the other women, but my friends and I have already booked to come again after the Christmas celebrations. I enjoyed myself far more that I thought I would and Lesley and her amazing workshop exceeded all my expectations. Lesley and Carl's home is a beautiful homely one and full of loads of her handiwork to help you with inspiration. I wish her well and continued power to her elbows.
A brilliant introduction to felting and a lovely morning of craft, cake and chat. Lesley is passionate about what she does and shared her knowledge and expertise generously. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning, learned loads and have definitely got the felting bug. I'm already planning my next workshop.
I can only repeat the glowing and positive comments. Excellent morning both my daughter, Megan , enjoyed it so much. We are booked to return for more. This workshop was both informative and creative a winning combination. The setting adds to the overall atmosphere. Excellent cake and coffee. Lesley is a good teacher we enjoyed her company and expertise .
my daughter and I sample different craft courses - it is something we both enjoy - I will however say the course in felting that we shared with Lesley was one of the best - light and airy workshop - Lesley amazing friendly and informative - no pressure to finish on time - we both created a felt picture that will be treasured forever- and the tea and cake was just wonderful - my recommendation just go along and sample this wonderful course you will not regret it and we will be returning early next year
Had the pleasure of attending this workshop yesterday, worth every penny it was a lovely morning, Lesley is a very friendly, helpful tutor - who also makes the most amazing cake. The workshop did run over but that's a credit to Lesley who doesn't rush you at all, there were only 3 ladies so we had as much attention as we needed, we all left more than happy with our completed projects. Highly recommended.
I can only endorse the many glowing comments of other satisfied customers. All of us came away with smiles a mile wide, having accomplished something which made us proud and in a glorious setting, with very attentive tuition. Lesley kept an unobtrusive, circumspect eye on us all...when gossiping meant we missed a stage, friendly advice prevented mishaps. It was more than just a course; to enjoy home-made cake, the rual setting and animals and her welcome and expertsie added to the experience. Thank you, Lesley!
I spent an amazing few hours with Lesley earlier this week making a felt pot. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it to everyone - I had previously completed the introduction course and found that really helpful when making my pot so would suggest doing that course first. There was a huge selection of fibres to choose from and Lesley was extremely patient helping us all to successfully make out own pot.
Lesley made us feel very welcome, she provided beautiful homemade cake and we were able to go and feed the baby lamb and see the pigs during our break We were also able to purchase some beautiful eggs laid by Lesleys own hens.
This was more than just a course it was a wonderful experience. If you get the chance go and play.
Had a lovely workshop with Lesley learning to make felt pots. Fully recommend this workshop. Lesley is very generous with her time and very knowledgeable about felting and and different wools etc, she has a vast selection of different colours, silks, and textures that you can use to make your pot, which you get to take home. Nothing is to much trouble, and she makes a cracking cake too!
Just spent a lovely Saturday afternoon in Lesley's aladdin's cave of felting! Inspired by her stylish creations, we were all delighted with our own efforts. This was a small family group and we really enjoyed being taught by Lesley - she has a gift for teaching, using encouragement and praise, showing endless patience and generosity. Excellent value!
Myself and two friends attended Lesley's beginners course yesterday. We were very impressed with her patience and guidance she gave us and generosity of materials which is included in the price.
Amazing to see the fibres transform into a beautiful flower.
We would recommend this course, go on give it a go.
I have never done felting before and found Lesley to be very kind and patient. She has an extremely large selection of wool for you to chose the colours that you would like to work with and was certainly very generous in giving you what you needed.
We stopped for a cup of tea and home made cakes, which were delicious and then went back to finish our afternoon. We were having such a good time that we did not realise that we were past our stop time but this did not seem to bother Lesley at all.
As someone who worries about travelling and parking etc I was so relieved to see that there was plenty of parking and very easy to find.
I had a very enjoyable afternoon with Lesley on the beginners felt workshop.
We were made to feel really welcome and Lesley was so generous with her patience, knowledge and materials. Lesley explained everything so clearly and i left with two pieces of felt. I am now trying to arrange a date to return to do the felted pots workshop.
I attended the beginners workshop recently and was delighted with my two pieces of felt that I came away with. Lesley is very experienced and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our varied questions. The morning was extremely friendly and relaxed and I would definately recommend it to anyone wishing to try this amazing craft. I have been inspired to try different techniques so will be booking myself onto more workshops.
My friend and I had a lovely few hours at one of Lesley's beginners workshops and came away with two pieces of felt we were really chuffed with. Lesley, herself, is incredibly kind and patient, explains processes clearly and makes fabulous cake! We're heading back for a more advanced class within the next couple of weeks - yay!!
Just had such a great morning with my friend at Lesley's felt making workshop. Nether of us knew much about it but had been inspired by what we saw at the Fibre East show. Lesley is very experienced and talented but was very gentle with us beginners! We made two pieces with which we were pleased. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we enjoyed tea and homemade cake. I think we will soon be back for the next steps!
Very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon ,fascinating and interesting ,I didn't
realise there was so much involved in making these lovely works of art.I am now the proud owner of my own piece of hand worked felt art. There were lots of colours to choose from, looking forward to going again .Thank you.
I came with my friend for a special children's feltmaking workshop. We had lots of fun and made a felt picture. There were so many different colours we could use and other things like sari silk and bits of bobbly wool to add texture. It took me ages to decide what to do.
What a fantastic way to spend a morning. I met several new people and created a beautiful piece of felt at the same time. It was really friendly and everything was well-explained. I never knew I could be so talented!
