Come and join us to make your own hand felted flower brooch in this relaxed half day workshop. You will learn how to; * make the pattern, * lay out the wool and silk fibres * wet felt and shape the wool in to a flower shape before adding a stamen to make your flower into a brooch. No previous experience of felting is required, all abilities welcomed. This workshop make a great gift experience, especially for Mothers Day which is on the 19th March in 2023! Your tutor will be Emma Jackson, a felt maker with over twenty years experience teaching, designing & making felt for her award winning textiles company, Silversoles. The workshop will take place in her home studio in South Birmingham with a small group of no more than five. Please note: the studio is situated at the bottom of a garden with one step up to access the building. The workshop starts at 11am and runs until 2:30pm.
