Do you watch the Pottery Throw Down and think, I want to try that? Well, you can with this family taster throwing experience in which you will all explore the techniques of throwing on a wheel. During the workshop, you will learn how to practice the basics of throwing, centring your clay, pulling and then shaping clay to make cylinders and bowls. There will be a maximum of 10 participants (adults and children). At the end of the workshop you will be able to choose two of your favourite pots which will be bisque fired. You then have the choice of coming to glaze them yourself on one of the glazing sessions (included in the cost), or I can glaze in a colour of your choice before being fired again. Your finished artwork with be ready for pickup from Felix and Tabitha, usually within 6-8 weeks, depending on drying conditions. £20 per person which includes all materials, two firing, glaze plus refreshments. (Aprons are provided but please wear appropriate clothing and take off any jewellery as clay can be very messy.) There will be a maximum of 10 people attending this workshop, each with their own dedicated potter’s wheel Family friendly, so adult and child (under 16) or just children (under 16) for this workshop – no adult children groups pls!! 2nd August 2025 - 10-11.30am or 12.30-2pm Refreshments are served throughout the workshop.
