Description

Already have some skills with wood but want to push yourself to the next level? Then this is the course for you!

On this course you will learn how to make a super thin-walled end-grain coffee cup. Strong, flexible and light, these cups are the most pleasing cups to drink from but to make one we must push the use of wood to the boundaries.

We will be focusing on honing your tool usage to get a perfect tooled finish. You will also learn how to mix and apply chalk paint to your cup to get some unique effects.

Skills learned:
- Shaping an end-grain cup
- Detailed axe work
- How to use the Twca cam and spoon knife to hollow out an end-grain cup
- Using chalk paint
- Getting a tooled finish on your cup - no sand paper!
