"I have been attending these workshops for the last 3 years and cannot recommend them highly enough. Both Martin and Kate are excellent in every way with expertise, patience, help, encouragement and ideas and the atmosphere is always positive and welcoming. I have attended the one day workshops in fused glass and mosaic glass and had the same experiences. Martin has adapted the workshop to the present covid situation so that it has still been possible to work in an extremely safe way, something for which we have all been so grateful."

"Kate is a really lovely tutor - offering expert advice and guidance with her infectious love for glass and her friendly encouragement to everyone. All teachers are jugglers and she is very generous with her time, sensing when someone needs extra support. She offers praise regularly - I was hanging onto receiving her rarely bestowed ‘perfect’ as much as a Paul Hollywood handshake. The Studio is fully COVID safe and it’s a wonderful gift to switch off from outside pressures and immerse in creating. After 6 hours every Friday for 10 weeks I have caught the bug and am returning for more in the Spring. Can’t wait!"

"Great day for beginners, knowledgeable and supportive tutor. COVID-19 secure environment. Kate was patient but kept everyone motivated and moving forward, giving extra support to those that needed it. I have been working with fused glass for 5 years but learnt something new about cutting. Really enjoyable and I will be back!!"

"What a fabulous day. Yesterday I did the traditional stained glass course with Kate. Kate was a excellent teacher, very thorough in all aspects. Nothing was too much trouble. Kate was very patient and happy to help out. Great at demonstrating all the different skills. This is a really lovely day course that I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to do another. The workshop was very Covid safe and clean, screens around each workstation. Thank you"

"Kate was a great teacher, patient with nothing too much trouble and gave really good demonstrations of what we needed to know/do. The studio was well set out and very covid secure with screens around each bench and all tools etc cleaned. This is an excellent course and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and the process of making our pieces. I highly recommend."

"A great day of learning how to paint on glass. Martin is an excellent teacher. He had gone to great lengths to ensure his studio was Covid-secure. He supplies all the materials and there was opportunity to complete a number of pieces by the end of the day. He is very good at explaining the techniques and demonstrating the skills, and good at providing individual help and suggestions during the day. I have been on a number of Martin's Glass courses, and would readily recommend them to anyone interested in trying something different."

"My mum-in-law and I attended the introduction to Tiffany stained glass day. We had a superb time. It's hard work (I'm not good at craft) but very rewarding. "I attended the Tiffany course with my husband as a birthday present. We both had an amazing and highly memorable day. We’d never done anything like this before but were absorbed from the minute the day began. We actually produced some not too shabby pieces of art which hang proudly in our house. Just the ticket to take our minds off other more challenging aspects of life at the moment. We thoroughly recommend you try it!!"

"I absolutely loved my day learning all the processes required to make traditional stained glass. I felt it was very good value for money as it is a full day and you learn what you need to if it's something you want to start doing yourself at home. I left with new found knowledge, a real appreciation of this skillful craft and a beautiful piece of stained glass which not only gives me so much pleasure to look at everyday but also to know that I created it means so much more. Kate's method of teaching worked very well. She is patient, calm, passionate of her craft and very encouraging. I highly recommend!"

"Martin made us all welcome and showed us lots of techniques with plenty of chance to practise them. Really enjoyed the day. Covid precautions worked well and would certainly be interested in returning. Good value for money, I made a bowl, 4 coasters and about 8 light- catchers. Martin is a nice guy!"

"Kate Billington led the course of around a dozen people, most of whom were absolute beginners, like myself and my wife. She was very calm and thorough and seemed to generate plenty of time for individual help whenever it was needed. By the end of the day she had taken us from how to score a straight line on a clear piece of flat glass to producing a very pleasing piece of stained glass artwork. How she managed it in the time I do not know, but I enjoyed the whole day and was amazed at the skills I seemed to pick up with her help. Many thanks"

"Christine and I thoroughly enjoyed the one day traditional stained glass workshop we both attended on Saturday. Kate is an excellent tutor. She explained each process in detail and spent lots of time with each student when needed. Imagine our surprise to walk away with 2 finished stained glass pieces at the end of the day. "A very intense and satisfying day. Lots of new skills to learn and a lot to fit into the day, but Kate kept a very calm atmosphere and was always there when anyone needed help! Everyone got on well and supported each other, and we were all very proud at the end of the day with our finished items. It was very interesting and we all learnt a lot, and had a lot of fun at the same time. Thanks Kate for your expertise, humour and patience !"

"This was an excellent day covering many skills. Kate was a superb teacher. She explained everything so well and was very encouraging and patient. I needed a lot of help being a rather non crafty, non practical individual. The final piece was stunning however with help! I did enjoy the day but found it quite intense. The soldering right at the end finished me off - wish I had had time to practice this skill. Thankfully Kate stepped in doing the job otherwise I might still be at the studio! I do fancy the mosaic workshop however with no soldering in sight. Thank you for the experience."
