"This course is energising , fun and immersive, a complete detox after a hard week at work, thank you. Martin structures the day well with demonstrations then lets you get on with it, advising when asked for. As a complete novice and not being particularly arty, he was reassuring and I was delighted with what I managed to complete and inspired with ideas for another workshop. Looking forward to seeing them after they've been fired."

"I joined the group feeling very nervous, but quickly felt at home. The class moves at your pace, learning all the basics and then allowing you to develop your skills while designing your own projects. Always supported by Martin who explains and demonstrates as many times as you need. I can’t believe how fast the time in classes flies and you realise how much you still have to learn. During the last course Kate was not only helping the beginners to develop their skills but also keeping an eye on the rest of us and giving help, advice and encouragement where necessary. The tuition is of an excellent standard, appropriate to those completely new to fused glass and those with some experience. Martin supplies a wide range of beautiful resources that are all included in the course payment. The workshop is within the grounds of Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, a delightful place with easy parking and access to a small cafe. A truly delighful, relaxing day, highly recommended."

"Martin was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the day, I had an absolutely brilliant time. He provided all the tools and equipment and was happy to offer advice, but he also let you go in your own direction with each piece if you wanted to. The number of pieces you are able to make in one day is brilliant and I would love to do this workshop again! 100% would recommend!"

"Martin is an excellent tutor. He’s very patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Martin encouraged us to be creative and as we want to be, is on hand to after advice and encouragement. Martin has adapted the working area to make it covid safe and provides plenty of sanitiser for use all day, but in no way does this make the day less interactive. You have the chance to make lots of pieces so lots of opportunities to experiment with all the techniques Martin shows you. I would absolutely recommend this one day course to anyone and don’t worry if you don’t think you are creative you will be with Martin’s help."

"I had a lovely day at Martin's fused glass workshop. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and showed us several different styles of glass art that we could create. After explaining the processes, we were able to select from a wide range of colours and glasses to make our own unique creations under his guidance. I had sufficient time to make a set of coasters, a bowl and a hanging piece of wall art. A thoroughly enjoyable day in a wonderful location. Would definitely recommend as relaxed introduction to glass art."
