Welcome 😃 I'm Jo Garden. I call myself a 'facilitator' as my joy is enabling people of any skill to achieve something they did not expect, plus have time away from the everyday stresses of normal life.
My sculpture & slate mosaic workshops are broken down into small stages which result in amazing sculptures and works of art regardless of your artistic ability (honestly). If you purchase a kit, there is a full length video of me making the sculpture which you can watch as many times as you wish. If attending a workshop, my peaceful studio is tucked into the garden surrounded by trees and wildlife making it a very tranquil and stress busting.
I run several workshops a month but am often booked up for months in advance. If you book a long way in the future, I do make contact if I have cancellations and can move you forward.
Please do not hesitate to message me if you have any questions. Jo x

"From the moment I turned up onto your drive, Andy was extremely helpful in guiding me to park, and so the day progressed in the same fashion.
You were very welcoming, and I instantly felt at ease, and you and Andy were the perfect hosts, offering us unlimited tea and coffee [of various flavours] throughout the day, along with Kit Kats and even an ice cream cone, totally unheard of 😊
The studio is nestled in the beautiful and tranquil gardens of Jo and Andys property, its magical actually, you feel as though you are in a open air art gallery.
To begin with I CANNOT believe what we achieved in a day! We all left with our Hare in various postures and poses, all with different personalities. You explained the whole process thoroughly, supplied us with everything that we would need, down to your favourite bamboo stick! I don’t want to give too much away as it would spoil it for all new students, but the process was fantastic, from the skeleton to the finished product.
We could then purchase kits of various kinds and sizes to take home with us, and included was absolutely everything.
Jo you are so passionate about your arts and crafts, and it is lovely that you find the time to share with willing students. I will definitely be coming back to learn a new thing or two. Thank you to both of you.

"What a heart warming review - thank you so much Sally 😘 Those bamboo sticks appear everywhere in the kits and workshops! Would love to see you back in the studio. Jo xx"
"Myself, mum and aunt thoroughly enjoyed our Hare Sculpture Day. Being complete beginners we were quite amazed at what we had achieved by the end of the day, and really pleased with our final Hares.
Jo was a great teacher, explaining every detail and helping us all at every stage. Refreshments were also readily available.
I would thoroughly recommend everyone to take-part."
Jo Garden Art responded:
"Thank you very much Julia 🤗 Lovely to have the three of you together in the studio. Of course, each making completely different hares! It's remarkable considering everyone starts off with the same framework, but that just shows our personalities come through gradually during the day. Jo xx"
"An excellent day all round. Each step to making a hare was expertly explained with suitable demonstrations given. Nothing was too much trouble, plenty of refreshments available, a lovely garden to have lunch in.
I can thoroughly recommend this workshop to anyone from beginner to those with more experience."
Jo Garden Art responded:
"Thank you John! Well done on your fabulous hare - I hope he enjoys his trip home in your campervan 🤗. Jo xx"
"Never thought I would be able to produce the amazing hare sculpture which was done at Jo’s fantastic workshop. Fantastic day in beautiful setting with a great group of 7. Jo exuded confidence in all of us to produce great hares. Along with her husband Andy, Jo ‘s enthusiastic help, support and belief was second to none. Everyone marvelled at what they had produced. I can already feel a return trip to build ‘a buddy’ for my hare. Absolutely amazing day. Thank you both and fellow hare makers for a memorable and fun day.

Jo Garden Art responded:
"Thank you Cathie! I do enjoy running the workshops and ensuring everyone goes home with a new special friend. And, of course, I could not do it without Andy's great support both in his welding skills and help with the plastering stage of the day. So glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you again! Joxx"
