"Having thoroughly enjoyed a Jo's hare workshop previously, I was really looking forward to her new slate mosiac workshop and was not disappointed. It was a fab day trying something completely different and outside my comfort zone. As always Jo is a knowledgeable and encouraging teacher explaining clearly what you need to know and giving you the confidence to make something lovely. The workshop is a lovely creative space and on a beautiful day being able to enjoy their peaceful garden adds to the day"

The experience was a wonderful one and it has inspired me, a complete artistic novice, to do more. Jo was a great tutor and the venue in her garden of sculptures was inspiring."

"My wife and I booked the one day Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo as our anniversary gift to each other. This was one of the most well organised and rewarding experiences I have ever embarked on. From the moment of arrival Jo, Andy, and the Spaniels warmly welcome you into their home, (dedicated studio) and garden. We felt so well looked after. Making one of these rascal Hares is a complex task, but Jo's visual teaching method and simple explanations make it completely non stressful and extremely enjoyable. Every material and its application is clearly explained and demonstrated. To see your simple wire armature slowly build up in various layers of materials and take on its own character over the day, was an absolute joy. Great value for money when you understand what is involved and the number of materials required. We now own two unique Hares made by us, each with a tiny glass memento jar and secret message hidden inside, sitting proudly in our garden for all to enjoy. Honestly, I cannot recommend this course highly enough, if there was an additional star for 'going the extra mile' I would gladly award it to Jo. Thankyou for helping us make memories."

"My wife and I did the one day course. It was a wonderful day. From the welcome to departure we were looked after brilliantly. Jo explained and demonstrated everything clearly and concisely, never any pressure, just pure joy. I would recommend the course to anyone as it is an experience you shouldn’t miss!"

"Truly enjoyable, instructions were clear and the clay moulding stage was so hypnotising. Halfway and I didn't realise my music had finished. Dragging out the sculpting to those last details became harder after two days, but otherwise in spite of being my first and not being perfect, I am supremely satisfied with what I have done myself."

"I attended a two day course with Jo which was a birthday treat from my family. I really wasn't sure what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Jo guided me through each step, patiently and professionally. She was so kind and kept us all topped up with tea and kit- kats throughout the two days. The studio is set in a beautiful garden and I enjoyed taking a stroll at lunchtime. I am delighted with my sculpture of the stargazing hare which sits perfectly on my balcony at home. Many thanks!"

"Absolutely loved achieving my first outdoor hare plaster sculpture! From the excitement of unpacking the kit, to watching Jo's wonderful video, browsing the comprehensive instructions, and then working through foiling the armature with my little message inside, applying Modroc, getting messy with the plaster, painting and finally gilding, it was immersive joy from start to finish. Thank you Jo, I'm going for the big hare next, can't wait!"

Small friendly group of people, lovely atmosphere, wonderful well equipped studio in a magnificent garden. I was very pleased with my completed sculpture. "With a love of all things ‘hare’ this seemed the perfect course for me! Jo’s communication from booking until the wave from her drive was second to none. Both Jo and Andy are the warmest, most welcome people. I went with a friend, but you could easily book in on your own and enjoy the day just as much. Examples and explanation throughout the day fantastic and… what I loved about Jo was that she shared everything she knew re. Resources etc, nothing was a secret and if you wanted to have a go at home you left with enough info. to purchase resources yourself ( or be lazy like me and bought one of Jo’s kits). Wonderful day, beautiful surroundings, lovely people :) "

"A most enjoyable day, my husband couldn't believe I had made my leaping Hare statue myself in one day. Jo was very patient, everything explained fully and helped when you thought you were going wrong. Both Jo and her husband made the whole group welcoming considering we were invading their home. May well consider a 2 day course sometime next year."
