"My first time at trying this and it didn't disappoint! There is a huge amount of slate shapes, glass, metal, wire etc... the list to choose from is endless! Jo takes you through the process step by step and gives a demo too so you are raring to go! I love Jo's workshops, she is so knowledgeable and patient, nothing is too much trouble and her enthusiasm is contagious! Will definitely be back to make a larger piece. "

Another fantastic two days under the tuition of Jo Had one day making two small pieces of slate art before returning for a second day to make a larger piece My brain was whirling with the amazing array of slate and decorative items - I felt like a child let loose in a sweet shop! As always, Jo was knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring in her guidance Already booked for next year to do another large piece"

"This was my second slate mosaic workshop and this time I chose to make a large piece. There was a huge choice of beautiful materials, even more than last year. Just so tempting. I needed reminding of all the techniques so I was happy to watch Jo’s demonstration before embarking on my piece. She was around to give support and advice when needed - and to keep us going with cups of tea, coffee and Kitkats. My large piece was done by lunchtime and so I spent the afternoon session on a small one. I’m delighted with both and am already looking at next year’s dates."

"My friend and I had the best day. Jo was a wonderful host and gave very straight forward instructions. We were nervous that we are not all that 'crafty' and wondered how our hares would turn out, but we were so pleased. Jo guided us through every step of the way, at the same time allowing us to personalise our creations. Thoroughly recommended for a relaxed day in beautiful surroundings."

"What a wonderful day - Jo and Andy were so welcoming and helpful and the venue was an absolute treat. I am absolutely delighted with the results and couldn’t believe that it was possible to produce such an amazing hare sculpture in one day. He is now sitting in pride of place where we can view him from all angles. Definitely worth the money and highly recommend it to anyone. Also provided were cups of tea and coffee and kit-kats - what could be better!"

"I would highly recommend this kit. Sadly I'm too far away to do the course in person so opted to order the kit, as I really wanted to make a hare. From start to finish this was a lovely experience and Jo was really helpful, from answering my random questions before ordering to offering advice mid project. Everything you will need, plus extra plaster and paint is included. I ended up making quite a large hare, so I needed to get some extra foil, but everything else was ample, and I may use what's left over to make something else! I was a little worried about doing some of the elements without a teacher 'in the room' but Jo has made a really useful video of the whole process which enabled me to get my hare done. He now has pride of place next to my fireplace as he's too nice to go outside! "

The kit contained absolutely everything that was needed and amounts given were generous. My hare now has pride of place and I’m looking forward to trying my next kit soon.! "We had a fabulous day on the one day course. Jo was fantastic and made sure all participants had an enjoyable day. Help and guidance was always on hand and Jo was re-assuring and encouraging about everyone’s sculptures. It was great value for money and a lovely way to spend the day. Our hares are proudly displayed in our garden and look very much at home. "

"A wonderful day, relaxed and fun. The course was a great pace with Jo taking us through each stage and offering support if needed. Having no crafting experience, we didn’t have high expectations for our sculpture but our Hares look amazing and they have pride of place in our garden. We would highly recommend giving this course a go. "

"Really lovely day! Jo did a fantastic job of walking through the steps with us and provided excellent feedback throughout the process. I hadn't expected to produce much of substance, but it truly was very easy to follow along with Jo's instruction and created a lovely piece for my home. The studio was incredibly beautiful, and meeting the two dogs was a delight. Wholeheartedly reccomend to anybody looking for a fun, unique workshopping activity to do."

"We had such a fantastic day with Jo at the hare sculpture course. We all thought we would be rubbish but Jo was very helpful and informative and we all came away with a hare we are proud to display. My 14year old daughter also came and managed to follow along easily and really enjoyed herself. The studio was comfortable and the hosts were very warm and welcoming. Would 100% recommend this course to anyone looking for a fun day out and to try something different! "

"An absolutely brilliant day with friends. We all thought we would be rubbish... but Jo's patience and expert instructions and demonstrations enabled each of us to produce a beautiful Hare, and they were all gorgeous and all different!. The house and gardens are beautiful and Jo and Andy were so lovely, as much tea and coffee as we wanted, snacks, laughter, dogs, a kitten and a lot of fun! Highly recommended, and honestly, you don't need to be "arty" - if I could do it, so can you! "

"I had a fabulous day doing the hare sculpture course! It was great learning the technique and Jo tells you exactly what you need and where to get the materials from so you can continue to experiment at home. I bought the greyhound sculpture kit and can't wait to give it a go! We were made a tea or coffee when we arrived then off to the workshop to get started. All went at an easy pace and instructions were easy to follow. Thank you for a great day! "

"This was such a wonderful gift for my 16 year old grandson. He had just finished his GCSEs, and was very pleased to enjoy some creative time to chill after the stress of exams! The materials arrived promptly, well packaged, and with very clear and easy to follow instructions. The video is such a fab idea! I will certainly look to purchase more craft kits in the future. "From the moment I turned up onto your drive, Andy was extremely helpful in guiding me to park, and so the day progressed in the same fashion. You were very welcoming, and I instantly felt at ease, and you and Andy were the perfect hosts, offering us unlimited tea and coffee [of various flavours] throughout the day, along with Kit Kats and even an ice cream cone, totally unheard of 😊 The studio is nestled in the beautiful and tranquil gardens of Jo and Andys property, its magical actually, you feel as though you are in a open air art gallery. To begin with I CANNOT believe what we achieved in a day! We all left with our Hare in various postures and poses, all with different personalities. You explained the whole process thoroughly, supplied us with everything that we would need, down to your favourite bamboo stick! I don’t want to give too much away as it would spoil it for all new students, but the process was fantastic, from the skeleton to the finished product. We could then purchase kits of various kinds and sizes to take home with us, and included was absolutely everything. Jo you are so passionate about your arts and crafts, and it is lovely that you find the time to share with willing students. I will definitely be coming back to learn a new thing or two. Thank you to both of you. "

"Myself, mum and aunt thoroughly enjoyed our Hare Sculpture Day. Being complete beginners we were quite amazed at what we had achieved by the end of the day, and really pleased with our final Hares. Jo was a great teacher, explaining every detail and helping us all at every stage. Refreshments were also readily available. I would thoroughly recommend everyone to take-part."
