"What a great day! I have already booked my next workshop ! Jo is inspiring and helps you every step of the way and the whole day was so well organised but does not feel rushed. Jo and Andy are a great team, their knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious. Thank you so much ! "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Pip. Your leaping hare was lovely - and caused two other guests to buy leaping hare kits to mimic yours back at their homes! Andy is a key part of the day, as well as my welder for the bases- how lucky am I šŸ¤—. See you in April! Jo xx"

Ann Kennedy reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Such an incredible day sculpting a hare. Joā€™s hospitality and welcome to her lovely home and studio was second to none and seven beautiful, yet totally unique, hares left the studio thanks to Joā€™s expert instruction. I will definitely be back to make a friend for Huck, my hare, and also to take on a larger project at a two day workshop when dates become available. Thoroughly recommend. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Ann! 'Huck' was fabulous and I'm sure would appreciate a playmate šŸ¤—. The range of shapes and poses of the hares at the end of a workshop always makes me smile. The same armature and instruction is then made unique by each delegates individual approach. Fabulous! Jo xx"

"Oh my goodness! What an amazing, inspiring day! Jo offered a wonderful workshop, incredibly well structured and organised, amazing creative space and the end result was way beyond my expectations and Iā€™m thrilled with it! I purchased two other kits to be able to have as a set of three haresā€¦ Iā€™m also looking to book in on the slate workshop. Jo is an inspiration! She left no stone unturned in terms of support, hospitality, enthusiasm. I treated my daughter to this workshop and Iā€™m so glad I did! Thanks Jo and Andy for everything. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Michelle! It was lovely having you both in the studio. Your hares were fabulous. Have a great time making the other 2 using the kits and please do not hesitate to make contact if you have any questions. jo xx"

"One Day Hare Sculpting Jan 6th 2024 This was my maiden experience of sculpting of any kind. Jo and Andy were very welcoming and hospitable. The course was conducted in a relaxed atmosphere and was an excellent learning experience for me. The setting is very conducive to learning and Jo is a patient teacher. I would recommend this course to anyone seeking to explore the world of sculpting. Thank you Jo and Andy for a memorable day! Shiv"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Shiv. So delighted you enjoyed the new experience and both of you made lovely sitting hares. The stepping stone making of the sculptures takes away having to concentrate just on one process for a long time and I believe this is why everyone achieves such lovely end of day pieces. Jo x"

Rosemary reviewed: Large human sculpture kit (50cm)

"Just made my sitting man. Very easy to do on my own. I just watched the video and took my time. I am very pleased with the result. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to review the large human sculpture kit Rosemary. I actually made a lot of that video in the middle of the night when I was having trouble sleeping. A most magical experience as the sun was rising over the garden and rabbits and birds were starting their day before us humans disturbed them! So happy you enjoyed the experience and are pleased with your sculpture. jo x"

Beverley reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Fantastic one day sculpture course with Jo. I am new to sculpture so I was astounded that we could create a wonderful piece in just one day. At the beginning of the day I was thinking ā€˜I canā€™t make thatā€™ but the course is broken down into step by step sections with plenty of one-to-one guidance from Jo. A totally brilliant day, and my hare sculpture has pride of place in my dining room."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Beverley! Really happy you enjoyed the day and went home with a piece of sculpture to be proud of. Less can go wrong when the process is broken down into guided stages. Enjoy showing him off! Jo x"

Richard Hutchinson reviewed: Bronze hare kit using air-drying clay - including on-line video with Jo Garden Art

"I loved making the clay hare! The pack was very well put together with clear instructions about what to do. The online video was very helpful. The whole process was throughly enjoyable and I learned a lot. I thought the bronze gilt effect at the end was a great touch and really made the piece. I can say I have been bitten by the clay sculpture bug and have now started on another piece myself "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review Richard. The bronze gilt is a wonderful product - I use it in most of my kits plus at the workshops. A little goes a very long way! Enjoy your continued sculpture work. If you would like information on the materials used, send me a message via Craft Courses. Jo x"

Tricia Hunt reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"Well what a fabulous day, Jo was a brilliant teacher, eager to help and show us what would look good together but leaving us to use our own imagination. My daughter Lauren, who has Asperger syndrome was delighted with her pieces and Jo was so patient with her as Lauren asked plenty of questions for her. We came away with four beautiful pieces of unique art work. Can't wait to go back again and make a large piece. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Tricia! I was pleased to be able to arrange this extra workshop for you and your family. Delighted that Lauren enjoyed the day and loved her pieces of art. Jo xx"

Caroline Smith reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"I had such a good day. I arrived slightly frazzled after a drive that had taken much longer than expected, but the warm welcome and a cup of tea from Jo quickly settled me. There are plenty of examples of her slate mosaic in the house for inspiration but in fact, I found that the materials themselves were inspiration enough. A wonderful selection of pieces of slate and an Aladdinā€™s cave of bits and pieces to insert in the gaps between the slate. Jo had prepared two backing boards for us and showed us how to attach the fixings and mix the adhesive. Then we were off. She gave advice where required and plenty of encouragement. And beautiful pieces of work emerged, we each had our own style and colour choices and every one was lovely. I wasnā€™t too sure whether I was going to like my second one but with a little guidance from Jo itā€™s just as successful as the first. Iā€™m pretty sure I will be back, maybe for a large piece next time. Thank you so much Jo."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"What a heart warming review - thank you Caroline! Your work was beautiful and you will see different aspects every time you look at it. Well done! Hope to see you back for a larger piece. Jo xx"

Shona reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"This was a fantastic day. Everyone left with a lovely hare sculpture and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Jo was a great teacher. Every stage was enjoyable and surprisingly messy fun! Highly recommend "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Shona - I love all the different stages - and how they gradually 'turn up' the messiness! It's not often you get to dab fingers into plaster which is a tactile and fun media. So glad you enjoyed it. jo xx"

Gemma Gallen reviewed: Large outdoor plaster hare sculpture kit

"I purchased a large and small hare craft kit to make at home. It was honestly one of the best things I have ever bought. I have loved making my hare! The video is so easy to follow and everything supplied for you! Down to the sponges and paint brushes. Had more than everything I needed and the most amazing time making something I will hopefully keep forever. Jo has been brilliant and helpful and even went the extra mile to video call to advise me of a bit I was struggling with. Cannot recommend enough! What an amazing present this course could be for someone. Thank you so so much I love my gorgeous hares "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Gemma! It was lovely to see your hares on the video call - they were fabulous - well done šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘."

Cara reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Jo explained each stage really well, to the point every one of us on the course were able to produce the most exquisite sculptures! I would highly recommend this course for every level, most of us were complete beginners and also an artist amongst our group, we all got so much from the course. I came away with good knowledge and Jo provided us with the know-how and a suppliers so we can recreate our own designs at home. A unique course providing an excellent grounding in producing high quality sculptures. Thank you, Jo, I really enjoyed myself."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Cara. I do hope you carry on with some sculpting work at home - or perhaps see you back in the studio! So glad you enjoyed the day. Jo xx"

Jo Fisher reviewed: Duo human sculpture kit (1 x 30cm & 1 x 50cm)

"Really enjoyed making the small and large human . Jo has thought of everything and all you need is provided, she even includes a cloth, paint brush , clay tools and sponges ! The written instructions are very clear and the video is great to watch as you work your way through . Delighted with the results. Thanks Jo , excellent kit."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Jo. I developed my range of kits during lockdown (which seems an eternity ago) and it still seems strange knowing people are watching me on the videos! Thank you for noting I include everything needed to make the sculptures - part of the enjoyment developing the kits was coming up with the 'complete' package. So happy you are delighted with your human sculptures. Jo xx"

Beverley reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"It was the first time I had braved something like this on my own and I absolutely loved this course. It was clear on arrival that Jo has a wonderful warmth about her and the step by step guidance, helping hand if needed and the slick timings that kept us all at the same creative pace was perfect. It was clear that Jo and Andy really have gone that little bit extra to make this course something special,. The attention to detail with the glass capsule message if you choose to add one at the start and the sweep of gold to finish - not sure of the professional term šŸ¤£ were much appreciated. Thank you both so much."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"I think 'sweep of gold to finish' is a very suitable term Beverley! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It's a busy day, but I think having completely different 'sections' generates constant interest and the time races by. So glad you enjoyed it and went away with your fabulous hare. Jo xx"

Nicci reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Wonderful course - Jo is so organised, kept us all making progress and when the plaster came out, the joint effort between Jo and her husband to keep us all supplied with fresh plaster was like a well oiled machine. They were both so welcoming and helpful, even to the point of moving cars and helping me get my mahoosive hare into my passenger footwell at the end of the day. Very keen to go back and do some more"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Nicci! And what an enormous hare you drove away with!!! He was fabulous and big enough to be seen from the moon! It would be lovely to see you back in the studio. Jo xx"

Sammie reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"I had a fantastic day with Jo at the one day Hare workshop. Everything was so very well organised right down to the parking system ! Jo ( and Alan) were on hand to help and ask questions. Everything was explained beautifully by Jo so even as a novice the course was easy to follow. Refreshments always available and packed lunch was taken in the kitchen whilst Jo organised the afternoon. I absolutely love my hare and would love to visit again to create something similar and equally as beautiful. If I had to make a slight negative comment -but it did not impinge on my enjoyment at all was it was a compact course to finish on time - possibly as most people had medium sized hares to complete, it felt very slightly rushed at the end to finish in a day. ā€œHartley ā€œ is sitting in my kitchen table at the moment where hubby and I can easily admire him. He has had plenty of offers for a new home via friends on social media ā€¦ heā€™s definitely not going anywhere! Thank you so much Jo "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Sammie - just keep hold of Hartley! You can see why one of the other delegates at the workshop is a regular (making a family of hares!). I do appreciate your comment about the extended day. It's a busy workshop, but we nearly always finish on time (4.30 - 5pm). However, the weather and a range of other little things, meant Sunday's workshop overran a little. My apologies if this caused a hiccup with your timing. It would be great to see you back again, perhaps to make your lurcher! Jo xx"

Kate Stanton reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"A really enjoyable course. I doubted that I could create a sculpture that looks like a hare but I was really proud of what I achieved and it's great that you get to take it home the same day, finished. Jo is a great teacher and provided a relaxed and supportive environment to work in. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Kate - so glad you enjoyed the day and was proud of your wonderful hare. It's surprising what can be achieved within the day! Jo xx"

Maxine reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Jo was very friendly and welcoming, and with a little help from Andy, guided us through each step while managing to ensure that the project was still all our own work. We were kept topped up with coffee and biscuits, and by the end of the day produced a class of brilliant, but individual Hares. I would definitely recommend this course, and hope to book another of Jo's in the future."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Maxine - I'm always delighted by the range of individual sculptures which are made from exactly the same beginnings. Look forward to seeing you back in the Studio! Jo xxx"
