"I was bought this as a gift and if anyone is considering buying it as a gift then don't hesitate! As a result, I've got a beautiful item and memories of a fantastic gift! Highly recommended ??"

Lee Iggulden reviewed: Beginners Pattern Cutting Workshop evening course - The Sleeve

"Who knew a sleeve could change the whole look of a garment. I always thought a top/blouse/shirt was just a top/blouse /shirt but by doing this sleeve pattern cutting course I now have my own pattern block and can adapt it to make my top/blouse/shirt look completely different. What I really like about the sewing, tailoring and pattern making courses that I am doing at the Cambria Costume House is that they each build up my skills and knowledge and the Peter and Paula are so enthusiastic about me learning all I can to help me complete a garment. After booking on just the one workshop - Garment Construction, I have since booked on all the pattern cutting sessions and I am now doing the tailoring courses during the day. Brilliant all round, well worth the money as the expert guidance, support, help and advice are second to none. More, please... Lee Iggulden."

Jo F reviewed: Glass blowing course - taster

"This was a present for my husband and one of the best I have ever given him! This sort of course relies heavily on the instructors, and he came home buzzing and saying how great they were. His glass arrived yesterday and watching his excitement as he open the box and explained how each piece was made was delightful. 5 stars isn’t enough, this was well beyond excellent. We are trying to think of all the other people that we want to give this too now, it’s too good to leave! Thank you Steve and Chris"

Chew Valley HandMade Glass responded:

"Dear Jo, thank you so much for your kind review. We are so glad Chris enjoyed his time spent with us, it was a pleasure to meet him and spend time with someone so enthusiastic about glass making. Kind regards Steve, Chris & Angie"

Shaun Laycock reviewed: Outdoor mosaic workshops - 1 day with Rachel Hyde at Creative with Nature studio Todmorden West Yorkshire

"You know when you have a good day, a really good day….? Yeh, few and far between at the movement with Covid, but not today. Our day came with an abundance of good, thanks to Laura, at Todmorden. Myself and my wife enjoyed and learnt so much in such a short time, about the mosaic preparing, laying and grouting processes; coming out with a lovely mosaic plaque for our home. Laura let us decide events and we all went the flow. I will be recommending Laura’s mosaic experience to both family and friends. Well done Laura - we truly had a day to remember ❤️"

Ruth McGrady reviewed: Animal pastel drawing workshops

"What a fabulous day! I had dabbled with pastels many years ago without much success, so I thought I would give Sara's workshop a go to see with some guidance things would be different and they were. Sara guidance and pace was excellent and I produced a really nice work of art( I'm the one holding the Sheep pic in the course images). I learnt so much that I am now very confident to use pastels for future projects. Thanks Sara"

The knowledge and guidance provided by Carl & Ray has given me the confidence to go out and start repairing walls in my local area. I have already got a project lined up! The teaching methods and general approach made understanding the complexities of drystone walling easy to follow and put into practice. Great course and I would definitely recommend it!"

Adam Rakich reviewed: 2 day jewellery/silversmithing course - all materials provided

"I highly recommend Sue’s two day jewellery course, which was brilliant. You learn sawing, filing, pickling, embossing, burnishing, reticulating, soldering and hammering to name a few, but it all feels very relaxed and not hectic at all. I learnt so much in two days. Sue is lovely and really knows her stuff, instructing you really well on to achieve the best results while giving you the space to unleash your own creativity. I’m so happy with the pendant I created, no one I’ve shown it to believes I made it by myself, but Sue made sure I did! Thanks so much, Claire"

Sue O'Mara Art responded:

"Hi Claire, thank you for the lovely words. You did well and the pendant is brilliant. So is the mad machine triangle piece! If you fancy a casting day let me know and I will fit you in. Take care and see you soon. Sue"

Liz Richardson reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Maidenhead - Thursday

"I joined Colourwheel in 2017 having decided in my retirement that I wanted to get back to doing art (having given it up at school at the age of 14) and this class sounded just right. I was proved entirely correct in my assumption. The course, the organisation and the tutors are all excellent. Many art classes require you to provide your own materials but Colourwheel provides them. Quite a big bonus, I’d say. I can't think of a better way of relaxing for 3 hours on a morning or afternoon irrespective of whether you produce a masterpiece at the end of it or not. You may well surprise yourself and discover a hidden talent. It's the enjoyment and total absorption I experience when I'm in the class that to me is priceless. Give it a go. I'm sure you won't be disappointed."

Chantal Brosens reviewed: Fused glass workshop with Helen from The Butterfly Effect Studio in Halford.

"Thank you so much Helen for being such an inspirational, talented and fantastic teacher. The setting and energy were just lovely! I had a most wonderful time creating colourful fused glass. The exciting part is that one can expect one result yet what comes out of the oven is a pleasant surprise! The balance Helen has of being inspirational, teaching the technique, and pulling back becoming the observer who is always ready to give assistance is a wonderful thing! With Christmas coming up, what a lovely present to give our loved ones, either a class or a finished piece which would be lovely in a Christmas tree!! Thank you again, Helen, I highly recommend your courses!!"

Butterfly Effect Studio responded:

"Hi Chantal, that was such a kind review, I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. You are always such good company and it was great to have you as part of the fused glass group at the Halford Venue. Well done on creating such uniquely beautiful pieces, as colourful and full of energy as you are!"
