Julia reviewed: Shimmer & Sparkle: polymer clay jewellery making

"Jo is an excellent tutor, I had a wonderful day in her beautiful well appointed studio making a lovely sparkle necklace and matching earrings last week. Jo is patient and very thorough in her explanations and provided excellent instructions to take away with me so that I could continue learning at home. She was also happy for me to video some of the more intricate aspects of the jewellery making so that I would have my own reference points to look back on. I cannot recommend Jo highly enough. Thank you Jo. I'm looking forward to booking onto another polymer clay course with you next month."

Jo Hunter Wearable Art responded:

"Hi Julia, thank you very much for taking the time to leave me such a complimentary review. I hope your necklace looks amazing with your dress! Thanks again, Jo"

"We had a really lovey day at Judith's studio. Judith is a great teacher - very patient! The smaller group meant we all had lots of time and space to crack on with our cutting and printing. I am so pleased with the prints I came away with, I didn't think I'd be able to produce anything so professional looking! I'd recommend the day to anyone looking to spend some hours making and chatting."

Emily Duguid reviewed: Intro to 3D wet felting; make a small vessel using a resist with Purr & Wag It, Tabletop Workshops

"Absolutely loved Heather’s tabletop 3D wet felting workshop. The whole experience from start and finish was serene and inspirational. Heather is a very knowledgeable teacher with a really calm and clear approach. In addition to teaching us how to felt, she also baked a delicious almond chocolate cake - and flapjacks too - and allowed the workshop to run over time so we could all get to the finish line with our pieces. Thank you Heather! :)"

Julie reviewed: 3 hour Silver jewellery course

"I enjoyed the day and went home with a lovely shiny silver ring which you'd never believe I made. Richard is incredibly knowledgeable, explained everything very well and had a good balance of helping you when needed and letting you do things for yourself. His workshop was well kitted out with space and tools for 2 people. There was a great supply of drinks and Richard's wife was very welcoming (and is a pottery maker and teacher). I would recommend the courses with Richard and hope to do another one in the future"

Inga and Luke reviewed: Beginners 1-day pairs woodturning workshop

"We had a great day with the super knowledgeable Simon! From absolutely zero knowledge regarding the craft of woodworking we left feeling inspired and looking for our nearest club as we clutched our newly carved bowls and honey twizzles! A lovely day nattering, learning and getting thoroughly covered in wood shavings. Thoroughly recommended as Simon puts you right at ease."

The four attendees all produced very different prints which was so interesting to see. Really good space for a workshop and good range of materials provided. A small class size meant we had lots of time with Judith to help us! Excellent coffee and cake too!"

Diane reviewed: Introduction to fused glass (1 day) in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

"I was bought CraftCourse vouchers for my birthday and chose to do a Fused Glass workshop with Martin at Martin McAssey Glass. I was a bit nervous as I don't consider myself especially creative and I was also attending on my own. However, I needn't have worried - I had a great day! Martin was clearly very knowledgeable and helpful, but also allowed us develop our own style as we progressed through our pieces. I didn't feel awkward at all - in fact, I was so into my 'creations', I barely looked up and time flew by. Martin had a great array of materials and we could take inspiration from items Martin had on display or choose our own designs. We made several different pieces on the day and I can't wait to see how they turn out after firing! Hopefully I'll have some lovely personal pieces. I would thoroughly recommend this activity. I had a great time and it was fantastic value for money. The workshop is also easy to get to and had plenty of parking."

Gitte reviewed: Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving

"I really enjoyed the introduction to frame loom weaving with Alice. I'm not a complete beginner, and Alice instead helped me 'crack the code' on weaving with multiple shuttles at a time. There was a lovely atmosphere, not least thanks to Alice who has such a calm way about her. She has a wonderful attitude to craft and to life and effortlessly combines the two. I highly recommend spending a day learning to weave."
