My most popular course. On this day course you can really get down to the fine details of mosaic techniques. Bring your own designs and we will translate them into mosaic art. I have the best stock of materials in Todmorden at my workshop and all the tools and tips you will need. I spent years working as an apprentice for renowned artists in London before going alone. I am a commissioned artist who shares her skill to all who wish to learn this craft. You will take home a beautiful mosaic art work and the knowledge to make more from home.

What's included in the price?

All you need is included - mosaic tiles, tool use, all adhesives and finishing grouts, design templates (unless you bring your own) and 25 years experience in crafts tutoring. My studio is safe and secure and is in a historic Todmorden mill building. Beginners/intermediate and advanced students welcome.

My name is Laura Barnes and I have my own studio in an original mill warehouse in the moor town of Todmorden, West Yorkshire. I run all my craft courses from here and create my animal portrait commissions. With 26 years experience in commercial mosaic and other crafts, including working with the National Trust and Crafts Council, I now offer tutoring to small groups. I have a fantastic mix of materials and tools and a very spacious workshop where I run classes in mosaic, leaded stained glass and willow weaving all year round.
