Tina Andrews reviewed: Stained glass one day course for beginners: one-to-one

"I had the most fantastic day with Emma who guided me through the techniques needed to create my own glass plaque. The morning was spent learning all the basics to create a test piece and the afternoon spent creating my own masterpiece, inspired by the pieces of glass which appealed to me. It was relaxing with time for chat until more concentration was required so time just flew by. If like me you’re always drawn to pieces of glass art in craft shops and stalls then attend one of Emma’s workshops and make your own. I am so proud of my piece, the results exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Emma for your time, expertise and your company, it was a fabulous day."

Michele Firth reviewed: Take raw fleece to finished fibre 2-day spinning workshop

"The 'Fleece to Fibre' course was excellent - Elaine is a very talented lady and loves sharing her extensive knowledge with others. The course covered fleece preparation, washing, picking and grading the fleece. We used a drum carder to prepare the fleece for spinning. We all (3 of us) spun 2 bobbins and then plyed them both, then used a Niddy Noddy to transfer the spun wool into a skein and then washed our spun fibre. The course contained all we need to learn to spin from Fleece to Fibre - thank you so much Elaine for a wonderful 2 day course for your enthusiasm and expertise. "

Cartmel Handspun Spinning School responded:

"Thanks Michele. Great you were able to learn on your own wheel as well. Nothing stopping you now. "

Pete Crosby reviewed: 1-to-1 Beginners Leatherworking Workshop

"A fabulous day of learning in a truly amazing venue. Although booked as a general introduction to leatherwork, Pipa was able to tweak the lessons to suit my particular interest in restoring historic military leather equipment. An amazing amount was packed into the day, hands-on and theory, and Pipa is clearly a gifted leatherworker as well as a natural teacher. An enjoyable, well paced day and so much learned. I’m booking a follow up day to focus more on areas aligned to my own particular goals and interests. "

Jenny reviewed: Large outdoor plaster hare sculpture kit

"A wonderful kit. My partner and I really enjoyed making our Hare and can’t wait to display it in the garden when the weather improves. It was a brilliant kit and we could make it all on the dining room table! The written instructions and you tube video were really easy to follow and everything could be done at an enjoyable pace. My only feedback is that we needed to buy about 3 extra rolls of foil (maybe we scrunched it too tightly ?) . I highly recommend this !!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review Jenny! So glad you enjoyed the kit and found the instructions easy to follow. I am smiling regarding the foil, and apologise for you having to obtain more. I think I'm making the armatures a little bigger now, plus chubbier hares are evolving! Different makes of foil can also be thinner and therefore compact down more. However, I'm thrilled you like your finished sculpture. You can pop it outside about a week after finishing it. Mine stay out all winter 🤗👍. Jo x"
